Seton Sands Haven Holiday Park - Platinum Caravan

Very clean and kitchen with lots of useful tools! Lovely decoration! The only down side was the mattresses very springy. Apart from that, everything was excellent!

We attended a party on Friday night in Prestonpans and another on Saturday afternoon in Port Seton so this was the perfect overnight location for us. The caravan was beautiful, immaculate with lots of really nice touches. Would definitely use again. All correspondence with the host was professional and helpful.

We had breakfast in the restaurant which wasn't great - very bland and rather expensive considering but I was pleasantly surprised that you stock a nice Early Grey tea! The ladies toilets weren't particularly clean and there was no hand soap in any of the dispensers which we brought to the attention of the staff shortly after arrival in the restaurant, dissappointly this was still the case when another member of our party used the ladies before leaving restaurant. Whilst we loved the caravan it's situated right behind the kids play park and for this stay it didn't have too much of an impact however, if I were considering a more relaxing stay, holiday or short break then I'd perhaps be put off by how busy and very noisy the playpark was well into the evening. This is just personal preference though and I fully understand being as close to the playpark would be a huge bonus for families.

The shower did not work for half of our stay. After an 8 hour drive and a Daughter with OCD this was not ideal, but these things happen. The chargers were not working on site so we charged our car from the caravan (which being privately owned the T&C’s did not say we couldn’t). The host asked us to unplug it, which we did immediately upon returning. But she decided to keep part of our deposit for the electricity used. It was not plugged in for long, and disappointingly, this never previously mentioned to us - this deposit was for breakages and we left the caravan immaculate. We had to chase our deposit after 3 days of being home, the host was very aggressive and rude in communications. Saying we had caused an electrical fault, which we had not. As I am sure you would have been in touch with us about this before we chased our deposit if that had been the case. Also, we had hope after the shower not working you would have seen it as a good will gesture to wave any fee for the inconvenience caused. In the reviews it states you only need a private chef when you stay here, well, if the private chef doesn’t want to cut anything as there are no sharp knives or if they do not wish to wash their hands, as there is no hand soap. I do hope you put the deposit kept from us towards a well over due deep clean.
