The staff are very friendly but not always very efficient The beach and pool are beautiful and the staff make every effort to keep it clean The massage wad amazing The room is huge and the beds were very comfortable Special requests were answered promptly

Let’s begin with the food: that is completely subpar for a five star property Quality is low as is the cooking Hardly any healthy choices (only Frosted Flakes!!?) and fruit do not taste well How come a hotel in the middle of a coconut grove doesn’t offer fresh coconut? We ended up sustaining on french fries and vegetables cucumbers and carrots most days Incredibly there is no high quality coffee machine on the whole property so I drank really bad coffee all week The breads and cakes feel industrial But the worst was that everywhere there is loud music: every meal, at the beach and pool you are bombarded acoustically constantly which gives the place a loud and cheap feel We will not be back

It was one of the most frustrating stays I’ve ever had. I honestly don’t understand how this hotel claims to be five-star. From the very beginning, the experience was chaotic. We arrived at 8pm, after a long flight, expecting a smooth check-in, but our rooms were not even ready. Instead of resolving the issue, the staff sent us to have dinner. However, when we got to the restaurant, we were denied entry because we were considered underdressed. What followed was unbelievable, the staff kept escalating the situation from one manager to another, until finally a restaurant manager had to personally walk back with us to reception to push for our rooms to be prepared. The entire evening was wasted in this back-and-forth. The staff overall were extremely unhelpful. Any time we asked for assistance, we were redirected from one person to another, with no one taking ownership of the situation. It felt like a constant loop with no real solutions. The rooms feel old, somewhat outdated, and full mosquitos which does not match the expectations of a five-star hotel. We asked for a simple request before leaving for a 10-hour flight, just a place to take a quick shower. Instead of helping, they sent us to the spa, where we were then redirected back to reception, then to guest services, and again back to reception. The hotel was unable to provide any solution. Once again, no one took responsibility. Overall, this hotel seriously needs to improve its organization, communication, and staff accountability. Definitely not worth the price or the supposed five-star rating.
