Goldenhill Retreats

Lovely location, good size property, nice and quiet. Beds very comfortable, a good powerful shower!

Lampshade was cracked, limescale in kettle, outdoor sink to fill kettle hasnt been cleaned in along time, wallpaper pealing in places. No WIFI for lodges.

Lovely courtyard outdoor space and great facilities available, easy check in method.

Only thing missing was a full length mirror, although we were attending a wedding.

loved the peace and quiet, perfect location for Bamburgh and Seahouses.

Nice secluded spot! So quiet and peaceful. And a short drive into Bamburgh and not too long to get to anywhere else you wanted to.

My second visit (first one was about 3 years ago). Great location and very quiet.

Warmest of welcomes from Caroline and the family dog. Neat & cosy, comfortable lodge spaces, hot tub, sitting out in the courtyard in the evening and great indoor area to use for making & taking your own breakfast or other meals. The location was great in the peaceful ‘countryside’ with easy drive to Bamborough & Lindesfarne.

Some people may have preferred breakfast included but we didn’t mind bringing our own as there was plenty of warning.

Breakfast not included, which I knew. Location was lovely but satnav took me to BAMBURGH BREAKS before I found Goldenhill. Room and shower room were spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable.

Needed better bedside light for reading in bed. Accommodation was as described but a bit expensive for what it was.

Lovely location. On arrival, we were upgraded from a room in the main house the first night, to a chalet for our last two nights, which had the added facility of a kitchenette. Caroline made us feel very welcome and was there if we needed anything. There was a fan in our room, which came in very handy, as it was quite a warm couple of days.

The only minor thing was, it was a Bamburgh address but Belford by the postcode. Despite very precise instructions from Caroline on how to find the place, we drove around in circles trying to find it! We realised later we had probably turned off from the main road a little early. Her instructions were perfect! Everything else was great.
