Greenwood safari camp

Amazing staff and fresh tasty food, every day. Value for money located just outside of Talek gate, making it very easy to visit Masai Mara. Camp experience close by the Savanah so felt integrated with the nature - having animals around, while feeling safe at the same time.

The bathroom could use a renovation but still was comfortable and fully functional. Other than that, very good for its price, exceeded my expectations

Great place to stay near Masai Mara. We were staying in a tent and it was great, there was a bed and some chairs on you porch. Good breakfast, and good communication.

Magdy respond immediately to all questions, booking & organized for the Safari was great and the whole atmosphere in, around and collaboration with the Talek bush camp was fantastic. The camps were punished by a big flood in May 24 and they are rebuilding the camps with passion, great staff and will finish this soon. The location to Talek gate is very close, you even can see animals from the other side of Talek river. The tent was simple but it had all I need and fit's to the safari I did the full day. Great safari with Alex and also the packed breakfast & lunch from Talek was very good. Thanks to all people working around the Massai Maara, even thanks to the animals for their willingness to be marveled.

hard to travel from Nairobi to Talek, 240km in 6hours + more is normal, it only works with a local driver!

Breakfast is included in the price. It was was big, healthy, served in the separate dining hall. We also had dinner there every night. Magdy was very helpful in every aspect, organizing safaris into the game reserve, visiting a Masai village, let us know about the history of this small safari camp and gave us a very interesting information about the local societies. The owner is quickly recovering and reconstructing parts of the site after the distastrous flooding of May 24. Wildlife visits during the nights are exciting. There is a Masai night guard to watch out and take care of the security of the guests.

Magdy was communicative every step of the way. Even before arriving, by giving us alternative routes due to come road closures. The camp was clean and well maintained. There was also security guard at night to make us feel secure. I was unwell and I was well looked after with a migraine pack and some painkillers as well as having my food delivered to my tent. Very lovely and welcoming :-) The food was also good. Three courses plus desert!

Close to the park. Excellent host. Food was great every day. We stayed in a tent which was once in a lifetime experience hearing the animals at night.

I had a great stay at the camp. At the time, I was the only tourist staying there and the staff were very solicitous, friendly and helpful. Food was really good and, of course, the safari - organised at the spot by the camp, was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend.

The owner (Magdy) is an amazing person. He really cares about the guests. They don’t have incredible facilities but as a camp it’s quite nice. The room was exactly like the photos. The food was good. But we didn’t like the food that was packed for our safari. I don’t like fried potatoes when they’re cold. The safari was good. The girls in the kitchen were nice. The night guard had a great commitment to his job. We were afraid the first night but then he assured us that we were safe.

next to one of the park gates. Magdy and her team are very friendly and nice. The tents are very comfortable, they have light and electricity and the showers have hot water. They give a good breakfast and the restaurant food is very tasty and complete. 100% recommendable.
