We ran out of hot water one night

The location was fabulous. It was the most peaceful and relaxing holiday with wonderful scenery. We came home feeling totally refreshed and grounded.

There was nothing that I did not like

First time visiting the lake district and wow absolutely stunning 😍 We stayed in a lakeside pod and it was beautiful one of the best holidays in the UK we have had Staff was amazing 👏 Ducks walking around by our pod just so beautiful We have enjoyed every minute and can't wait to return 😀

Nothing not to like

We stayed in one of the woodland pods, the site has space for everyone and very pet/dog friendly. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The onsite shop is stocked with goodies for dinner, snacks, drinks and ice creams, even little bits for the kids. We loved our little welcome packs, even the one for the dog with treats and a tuggy toy (the dog highly approved). The site is quiet and calm with lots of woodland to walk around in, you can walk down to the waters edge - the dog had lots of fun swimming in the lake. You really feel like you are staying out in nature in the pods. We would happily stay here again :-)

There wasn't anything we disliked, just a few notes regarding comfort. The bed slanted very slightly to one side, and not through any fault of the site, but the pod was very hot. We would recommend bringing a fan to help with hot nights.

Ladyholme apartment ticked all the boxes. Firstly, the view was amazing overlooking the lake, watching boats speed boats passing by. The position of the top floor apartment was in a very quiet location in the park. Not a sound could be heard of an evening just the gentle lapping of the water. The apartment had plenty of space for the 3 of us, was spotless and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday. We had a small problem with bathroom and maintenance was with us within five minutes, so friendly they were too and got the job done in no time. Five minutes drive and your in bowness, lovely place with plenty of activities, water sports, bars ,cafes, restaurants, gift shops and more. I would book hill of oaks in a heartbeat again and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. The whole park was clean and tidy. So we'll maintained. Thank you all for an amazing 5 day break.

Can't say there was one thing I didn't like. We arrived in a freak heat wave, checked all cupboards hoping to find a fan, nevermind. The age of the building and materials used maintained the heat. But that is no minus points as our stay was just perfect.

No dishwashing tablets or washing up liquid

Location and access to the Lake.

Access to the double bed was more difficult than it needed to be.
