It was a good experience Tent style. Pretty was very good to us. And she explained everything hence we enjoyed our stay

Some staff members don't greet even if you greet them.

We stayed in the little tent and it was perfect. The tent stands on a wooden floor (I stayed in other tents like this before where there was no platform under and this was quite uncomfortable because of weather, insects and dirt). Also the tent is under a extra roof. We had no problems with insects. Inside its furnished nicely. You have everything you need and it’s clean. The whole camp is built of recycled materials and a lot of love. Really liked the area. I also loved the dogs and donkeys in the camp.

It is very close to a Kruger national park. There is a kitchen and breakfast(egg, yorgurt, bread, cereal) was included.

It was noisy (maybe neighborhood)unti very late at night.

The resort is beautifully designed using rubbish and sustainable materials. The stay there is okay for tour groups who only want to spend 1 to 2 nights there. There is a common area and a bar where you can have a drink. The showers and toilets are clean and the staff are nice.

The food is very bad and far too expensive. For breakfast there was only tea, coffee and muesli that you could take but no milk or yoghurt or anything else. We bought our own things. There were price lists for food and transport in the hut. However, we were charged 4 times the price. For a traditional meal of pap and sausage we had to pay 200R. In Kruger Park it costs 60R. When we asked about the change in prices, we were told that this was the decision of the manager. The pool contained hardly any water and was not usable. As soon as a group of people sat at the bar in the evening, it was noisy and difficult to fall asleep. There were power cuts every day and no substitutes like candles or solar lamps to replace them. You couldn't take a shower during that time either. Very unfortunate. A good idea to support local people but not well organised.

we were well received, the place is very nice and very pretty, everything is recycled, it is well placed and very quiet, I ask them where there was a car wash and they told me that I could clean it here and so that's what I did thanks for thanks I recommend!!! 👌👌👌✅️✅️✅️

The neighbours of my tent was very noisy at 4h30 am And I found the tente a bit expensive for what it is

We loved staying at this eco village. Staff were wonderful and we were very impressed with the recycled materials all around the property. The donkeys are friendly too and enjoyed some loving!

The staff made us feel at home instantly. From the get go we lived among eachother as if we've done it for years. Shik Shack Backpackers is like a huge mansion, but with everything outside in nature. Such a cool experience.
