A gorgeous homestay in Stroud, with an exceptionally knowledgable host - who could could not have been more welcoming. Beautifully presented room and bathroom with good amenities, yummy cold breakfast served each morning too. Would definitely recommend!

If you want to stay in a welcoming and charming B&B with spectacular views, this is the place to book! The house is clean and nice. Abi was very helpful and gave us valuable information about restaurants and nice places to visit. We stayed for four nights and we warmly recommend the Hidden House.

Our superking bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with a large walk in shower.

Parking was awkward, we had to cram our car under a large fig tree. No TV either downstairs or in the bedroom. I was told that most people are busy hiking and don’t want a TV. We were out all day until about 8pm but wanted to relax in front of the television when we got back. The owner provided a television but it only had Netflix and Iplayer so we couldn’t even watch the news. We know all about the owners travels, the famous people she knew and her previous career. Personally I like to eat my breakfast without having to listen.

Fantastic room and en-suite. Especially the roll-top bath! Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Added luxuries included tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits, wine and mints. Huge bed, which was extremely comfortable. Quiet location with great views. Our host was welcoming, friendly, informative and generous. Loved that breakfast was included (choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, toast/crumpets with conserves). Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place, very good taste in the furniture choice, Abi was very friendly and helpful with their suggestions, we really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was fine

Absolutely beautiful room, spotlessly clean and very large. We were given a very warm welcome by the lovely owner and her gorgeous dogs.

No negatives, everything was lovely and as expected.

Friendly owner. Lots of attention to detail. Little extras that you wouldn’t even get in a hotel. Lovely homely house with 2 dear doggies.

Floors made it noisy at night.

Very hospitable host, who accommodated my vegan preference very well. Good location on the eastern edge of Stroud. Beautiful house. Very comfortable bedroom and shared areas, and a good breakfast. Good bath and shower. Friendly dogs!

I'm struggling to find anything to gripe about! Um: one side of the bedroom has a sloping ceiling which makes it hard for taller people to get around the bed to open and close the window. Oh, and a few of the ceiling light fittings were also positioned a little low: the one at the top of the stairs rang like a bell every time I bonked my head into it! :-) But these are quibbles.
