Alur Beach Homestay

Ideal location, central and by the beach. Very clean, and very nice host. Good wifi.

I stayed in one of the rooms directly in front of the sea. It's SO close! :) Your private patio has a BED so you can just lie there and watch and listen all day with a cool breeze :) The room itself had EXCELLENT airconditioning and was large and comfortable. Fridge in the room. Every day they leave you a large thermos of hot water to make tea and coffee throughout the day for yourself. There is also a shared patio if you wish to engage with the family or the other guests, and two loungers outside Breakfast was huge: and delicious, I usually had to save the fruit platter for later! omelet and toast, fruit platter, and a perfectly cooked banana pancake! The family is full of smiles and greetings, the nicest family I have stayed with. So much, I came back after my other homestay was over. This part of Amed is really well situated; the water is clean and clear and you can snorkel and swim right in front of the homestay. There is also a bar two minute walk away with nightly live music, and lots of warungs steps from the property. I also arranged a snorkeling trip with the family, they charge fair prices for everything! Trust in them and everything they suggest. You get a lot for your money here. One small issue, which was not a problem for me at all; much like a lot of this part of Bali, they are currently (March 12 2025) doing construction only during the day next door. I actually liked it, it gave me a feeling that I was in the real Bali, and that is what I want from a homestay. I am only saying this because if you know it will bother you, I would rather you stay somewhere else and check and not give my sweet family a bad review for something that is not their fault. :)

Great accomodation right on the beach.

Peaceful. Staff super friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Clean. Close to everything.

The value for money is great. The location is right on the beach. And the bad was comfortable.

The water temperature was hard to adjust in the shower. Sometimes too hot.

Evrything is very good

Quiet, peaceful beachfront property. Couldn't hear the usual street noise that plagues many accommodations in Amed. Breakfast was delicious (banana pancake + fruits + juice + instant coffee). AC functioned well. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Curtains were not fully opaque and were a little see-through (e.g., if you turn on your lights at night, people walking past on the beach likely can see into your room)
