I had a wonderful experience at the Padang Homestay. The room was clean, very comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. We also booked a tour with the Homestay and Bayu is an amazing guide! He’s so knowledgeable about the region and gave us an amazing experience. Thanks to Bayu and his family :)

I loved the location, you really get a sense of local life. It's a neighbourhood just outside the city (at best a $3 Gojek ride into the centre or cheaper if you take local transport) and there is a school. Food here is cheap, and everyone is so friendly asking if you're staying with Jenny and Bayu. Wifi is fast. And Jen is fantastic for information from a foreigner perspective and Bayu is a guide and knows so much. Both are so friendly and accommodating. Because I love food they organized a cooking class with a woman around the corner and Jen came along to translate. We first went to the market, where everyone wanted to stop, chat, take selfies and then I was amazing at the cooking. Neighbours came by to chat and more selfies! This is really a special experience.
