Covered the basics and Imanuel and his son Kevin are very friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfast, it was delicious and generous! They even dropped me off at the bus station at the end of my stay, free of charge. Absolutely adored the view from the balcony, very peaceful and yet very close to town.

No hot water, but it didn't bother me too much as Indonesia is not usually cold.

I had a wonderful time here. Most important - hosts are the best! Imanuel and his son are the nicest people. Imanuel is the local guild and he can organise the tour and treks for you. He can help with tickets and transport and he is very informative. Accommodation is basic but nice and clean. Very good breakfast with fresh fruits and juice. And it's just a few minutes walk from the city center The location is stunning - in the middle of a rice field. I could simply sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. The water buffalos, people working on the rice fields and lots of birds. And there are fireflies in the evening. I would love to stay longer here in Rante Pao. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Imanuel and his son are very kind and helpfull. the tour was very interesting and clear.

The location is perfect, you can visit the city center by foot. The place is beautifull, i loved spending the end of my days just reading in the balcony watching over the rice field. The beds are confortable and clean. The breakfast is super tasty. But the best part of our stay were Imanuel and Kevin, father and son, and our hosts in their homestay. They will always give their best smile and effort to help you around, and they have such a big heart! I compleatly adore them both. Imanuel took us over some places to visit like graveyards, ricefields, and funeral ceremonys, always giving us the best explanations of the traditions and advise on how to behave and dress for the ceremonys. The two of them made our stay so very special and authentic. I will never forget this amazing days in toraja.

Well located and an awesome view from the terrace. But the best part about it is Imanuel and his son. The kindest person you can find which will go above and beyond to make sure you have a good time and understand the Torajan culture. We really enjoyed our time with them and would always come back!

The location of this guesthouse is really very beautiful, right next to the rice paddies. The chicken and roosters are happily running around in the yard. You can eat or sit outside on the 1st floor, and enjoy the view. Imanuel makes great ginger teas which come in a teapot. He also cooks delicious food. I highly recommend his breakfast pancakes with palm sugar and coconut!! Yummie. His son Kevin took me on the motorbike to see some sights, very nice.

The only drawback is the church across the paddies which has followed the example of the mosques and broadcasts music and a chat at 5 am... So bring earplugs!

Imanuel and his family are very attentive and kind hosts. They have the kind of hospitality that comes from the heart. The room and the shared bathroom are cleaned regularly. The breakfast is 5-star! On my last day I got the best ginger tea of my life! I did a 2-day tour with Imanuel in the Toraja region and it was very interesting and informative. Imanuel is a very good guide and his English is super. He also helped me to find a guide to show me around in Makassar. Thank you very much for everything!

It might be a good idea to get a water dispenser, so guests can refill their bottles for a charge. This would help to decrease plastic waste.

The Singki family home is situated on the edge of Rantepao , looking out over a beautiful ricefield area. You can walk into the city, only 10 minutes walk. Emanuel and his sons are very kind and helpful. We also went 2 days touring the Toraja countryside with them on the back of their motorbikes. It was a very great experience and Emanuel has good knowledge of all the history and culture here. The facilities are kept vey clean, the beds are comfortable and breakfast is fantastic!!! Other foods he prepares are also good. We were the only guests, so it was very quiet.

No dislikes for us, but it.s good to know that It is a bit cooler here, so if you need a hot shower you can ask Emanuel for hor water if needed. It.s rural setting brings the sounds of roosters, and early morning Church sounds. But with earplugs not big problem.
