Very cosy atmosphere and friendly staff :)

- Great hostel; big public area conducive to meeting people - Swimming pool which was appreciated in the hot Jogya dry season - Really good location, inside the same kampung as the Jogya palace, close to great food (e.g. gudeg warungs) and lots of people living their lives (e.g. Alun-Alun Kidul at night) - Very cute outdoor bathroom - Lovely staff - Price was very reasonable - Good wifi (worked for video streaming)

- Location was very good overall but it's not ideal for people who like walking as it takes almost 10 minutes to exit the kampung because of the walls and you're staying right in the corner. As such walking somewhere 50m away as the crow flies on the other side might take 15/20 mins because you have to walk around the kampung wall and then double back around on the other side. Can be fixed by renting a scooter. - No AC in the room (a bit brutal in the hot Jogya dry season) - Old school door lock took some time to get the hang of

- great location - able to scooter or walk to main attractions - friendly staff - everyone was so lovely and made us feel at home, great local recommendations which did not disappoint, owner was so knowledgeable and accommodating - clean rooms and bathrooms - free water refills - bike hire was great and they organised mopeds for us - nice chill area

We felt so welcome as soon as we walked in the door. Jali was so accommodating to all our needs. He made us feel comfortable. We settled in the pool after our 8 hour train ride and he shared snake fruit liquor with us. On our last night after we spent the day visiting temples he made us homemade burgers and fries 👌 the best I ever had. We love Jali and everyone at the property during our stay ☺️ would highly recommend his place!

Toilets and shower really clean but poor condition No AC In the room

Homestay located in a very peacefull neighborhood, the room is clean and they have comfy communal space. Mas Jali and the team, Mbak Naya and Mas Dewo, are super friendly and helpful. Mas Jali even took me to the local flea market, hunting some old stuff, and we went on a walk to malioboro. The other thing I like on my stay here is I can meet other travelers from various place with various interesting stories.

Amazing host and staff, Jali is so kind and picked me up from the train station for free when I arrived at night, took me to a good dinner spot since I had not been eaten, and even took me to an atm all before arriving to the hostel. Jali and the staff helped me with all spots to see in the area. Some nights the staff even invited me to join them for dinner which was so kind. Place is cute, with a pool, comfortable bed with curtains, free water refill & coffee/tea all day which I appreciated, and free delicious local breakfast which rotated daily! Free bicycles to use and they have motorbike for rent 80/d.

Some minor things but overall it was great! : - Wifi did not work much in my dorm bed, but worked fine in the common area so just minor inconvenience. - You should know the dorm room has no AC, and each bed has a fan but not necessarily pointing to you when you sleep so may not be suited for those who get hot. - The first night I was bitten by so many mosquitoes but when I talked to the host about it, he provided with spray I can use for the curtains/bed as well as cream I can use on myself then I was not bitten after night 2! - it looks very central but the way the streets are made it was a bit inconvenient to get to some places. About 20-30 mins walk but also grab is cheap.

Everything was perfect, people, place, clean, breakfast !!!
