Mambo & Jambo Homestay

I liked that is was a very chill place with lots of green around. At late afternoon after the rain you could see some different creatures outside in the garden. I saw 3 different species os frog, bats and the famous huuuuuge African snail. For me that was the highlight of my stay, besides the beautiful staff. The other guests were very nice and chill. The kitchen was good as well. I love that the private room is affordable, very clean and comfortable. Also there’s a beautiful view of the lake. Thank you!!

Comfortable, clean and well maintained homely hostel. Close proximity to the lake and rocks. Kate does an amazing job making you feel at home

clean and central. comfortable bed. cooking facilities and able to park within the compound safely.

I would not recommend staying if you do not have earplugs with you. From the dogs barking in the night to the call of prayer in the morning and being able to hear every sound within the house, I would’ve cried if I didn’t get ear plugs for my second night.

-Catherine was a very friendly host -The property is in a very nice area -The breakfast was amazing -The water was always hot and the water pressure was very good -Spacious room -Lovely dogs and puppies!!

-Very hot in the room -Wi-Fi very unreliable (/reliably not working) -Could not have breakfast at 7.30am as it was too early, 9.30 seemed to be the earliest -Difficult to get hold of Catherine to ask about things like breakfast -The booking said there would be two double beds but there was one and also it said there was to be tea and coffee making facilities but there was not. -Quite far out of town, but it is a very nice area

Amazing stuff, beautiful location with a good view and very kind dogs.

Warm-hearted and lovely host, Awesome Bar and chill area, great area in Mwanza close to Bars and the Lake, delicious breakfast.
