The location was perfect, very quiet and also near to the center by foot. The staff were super friendly and nice.

The kitchen was't well equiped and the buildind was a little bit old.

The host is soo nice and lovely, she is very aware of her place and she helped me in many miscellaneous stuff when I was in mwanza.

I didn't have a fan although in mwanza it's not warm but I wanted a fan for white noise.

"Mambo & Jambo Rocks!"

Mwanza is known as Rock City, and the walk to Mambo & Jambo is past some amazing boulders. Behind the main house is a nice series of small patios with lake views. The concierge Stan let us leave our bags once we checked out since we booked a night ferry, and the two dogs were friendly but I think they both had the same name.

Maybe a fan would have been useful during the day. And a sign for the property would have been most helpful!

"Nice hostel in a safe and calm surrounding"

Really nice stuff, we didnt get to meet Catherine in person but she was always reachable and helped via WhatsApp. Late check in was not a problem. She helped organizing with our Safari by providing contacts. The room including the bathroom was clean, there was cold drinking water in the fridge for us and also a towel was provided. We could even book a second night short term as our plans changed. WiFi worked well.

The hostel and its furniture are a bit older. But for the price absolutely OK! Everything needed was there.
