Sithara Homestay Fort Cochin

This homestay was the highlight of our trip to India. Harry, his wife and house staff are the warmest and friendliest people and make you feel so at home in their house. Harry was kind enough to help us book Kathakali tickets and our transfer to the airport and gave great recommendations for Fort Kochi. The breakfast alone is reason enough to stay here, so delicious and made with such love! Rooms are clean and comfortable and have everything you would need and the location is in walking distance to all of Fort Kochi’s highlights. We loved it so much we decided to return and stay again on the same trip. I would recommend everyone to come here and will definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience with a wonderful host. Harry and his wife go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, arranging transfers, doing laundry and making a delicious breakfast which was different everyday! AC was cold, room was comfortable and WiFi was good. What more do you want??

Very hospitable and humble people. Amazing clean room with comfortable beds and refreshing ambience. Great and authentic food especially the egg curry with chapathi. Had a wonderful homelike experience. Feeling joyous and content with the visit. It was a extremely fantastic experience.

It feels like home, breakfasts were great, no problem with running water or electricity.

John couple was very friendly. Treated us as VIP persons of their family. For him, guests are not customers. It is not a business. He enjoy guests arrival.

Everything perfect.

Wonderful hosts. Lots of interesting things to talk about and they grow lots of their own fruit which they serve at breakfast. Welcoming family. Great location and close to some nice restaurants. 5 min walk from the main area, and less to some key sites. Had no issues walking back and forth in the dark. Rooms are basic and generally clean and there is a veranda at the front of the property you can use to relax.

Could perhaps offer some newer towels - though i used my own so it wasn't a problem.

The best part was the care and attention from our hosts Harry and Mercy. The breakfasts were incredible- so tasty with fresh eggs from the chickens. The property is very well located for exploring Fort Cochin. We really enjoyed our stay.
