Munroe Meadows

The stay at Munroe Meadows was fantastic! The location is really good (walking distance to the river, lake, canals and it's very green and peaceful), the room and bathroom are huge, very clean and the bed is comfortable and the food was absolutely delicious. There's enough space to relax on the porch or in the hammocks. Moreover, the hosts Anjana and Ajith were super kind and helpful, always there to give advice and answer any questions. They organised a sunrise boating trip and an auto to the train station for me and I could use their bicycle to explore the island. Ajith also took me to a sunset point in the evening. Munroe Island can be easily reached by train and is extremely beautiful. I can recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to experience Kerala away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you for the hospitality!

This place is so wonderful. I loved everything! The room, the garden, the island vibe. And Anjana & Ajith are the nicest people, very big heart and helpful in everything. She cooks amazing homely food. Also did a beautiful sunrise boating with her dad. Highly recommended this place, I’ll definitely come back!

The homestay was perfect : very beautiful, clean and spaceful! Anjana is a very good cooker and his breakfast/dinner was delicious! It's a very good place if you like peaceful and a friendly welcome. We had an incredible 3 days at Munroe Meadows! The tenants were lovely, the food was great, they organize an awesome boat tour and the room were exactly as expected. I definitly recommend it if you are looking for an accomodation on Munroe island

Everything was perfect

What a great place to stay at in Munroe Island! The hosts, Anjana and Ajith, are lovely and go above beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and enjoying their stay (homemade food, bicycles, backwaters cruise arranged). The rooms are nice and clean (extra point for the cushy mattress!) and location is easy to reach by rickshaw.
