The Shooting Star Homestay

L'homestay donne directement sur la plage, idéal pour regarder le coucher de soleil, et à proximité d'un super spot de snorkeling. Wayan a été très sympathique et les pancake du petit-déjeuner valent vraiment le coup.

Mauvaise expérience avec le mari de notre hôte qui a été très insistant pour que l'on fasse des excursions avec lui et nous a clairement arnaqués sur un court transfert en voiture. A cause de cela nous n'avons plus rien demandé par la suite.

Honestly this homestay was absolutely lovely, and my hostess was a cheerful personality that greeted me with a smile always. I felt very well looked after, and took full advantage of my ocean view room for the few days I stayed. Will definitely go back to enjoy the peace and quiet of this sweet spot on the beach.

I don't know if there was anything I didn't like about the stay... everything was wonderful and met my expectations perfectly. If I had any feedback to offer it would be better shuttle connections within the city to help travellers along their journey but even then, they offer taxi services. Very pleased.

Emplacement parfait + vue mer (attention une seule des trois chambres arrière a la vue mer) Personnel très gentil, bon petit déjeuner. Le frigo dans la chambre est vraiment un plus. Bon wifi pour télétravailler. Oui il faut passer un peu dans le sable pour accéder au logement mais je suis en backpack donc aucun souci pour moi.

Très bien situé en plein centre de Amed avec tout ce qu’il faut à proximité. L’accès direct à la plage est un gros plus. Le personnel est au petit soin. Je recommande!

The location is great, right in the central part of Amed, close to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, ATM, bars. WiFi is great! The room is spotless, very clean and quiet. Great shower: temperature and pressure. Staff: Wayan is absolutely amazing! She even helped me with my suitcase when I arrived. I asked her if it was possible to install the “bump gun” next to the toilet and they did it without any problem.

Only a small suggestion: try to make the access easier and without having to walk through other accommodations.

I loved being there. The staff is very kind and the location perfect. I had sea view, but also my privicy. The dive center was close and also nice Restaurants. When I'm back in Amed, I'll choose my stay at Shootingstar again.

The room had a lovely ocean view and is large with air con and a unique shower in the bathroom. The pancakes were excellent. The snorkelling at nearby Lipah Beach and Jemeluk Bay was outstanding.

Although parking is only available for scooters, Wayan did help us find parking close by. There was also some loud music at a club nearby on Friday night but it finished by 11.

I liked that it was close to the beach, and the host was very accommodating and hustle. I was provided a fridge and water kettle to a boil water and the AC worked great. The outdoor seating area was also very cozy.

My bathroom had some mold on the ceiling, which was a little bit concerning, but I know, hard to control in this climate. Nevertheless, something to look at. It wasn’t that big of a deal to me because I could close the bathroom door and keep the AC going in the bedroom. So I felt safe in the bedroom, away from the mold.
