Superb place and very kindly staff, highly recommneded.

Loved the location, a 15 minute walk from Ella but it was nice to walk around good exercise. It was very peaceful and had great views especially from the wonderful relaxing hammocks. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, very friendly - made us feel very at home. We had a lovely home cooked meal on one of the nights. They also had 2 kittens which were so cute and definitely a highlight. Wifi was great.

The bathroom would benefit from a refresh. The lightbulb needed replacing so it was dark in there at night. Water in shower was cold too.

Arie and his wife were excellent hosts! They were very accomodating, cooking breakfast, helping to organise tuk tuk/taxis, doing our washing. They are lovely people and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Awesome views from the balcony. So happy with our stay!!

This isn’t a negative, but something to be aware of. Short walk (15mins) into town… just to know if you may be elderly or otherwise. But it wasn’t a problem for us! Only a short tuk tuk also if you don’t want to walk (which Arie and family are happy to organise in-house)!

Hosts were incredibly friendly and took a shine to my daughter who loved the attention: The place was clean and comfortable and the views incredible. Very relaxing stay. My daughter’s favourite place as there were 2 kittens she enjoyed looking after. The food was incredible everyday, very tasty hoppers for breakfast and fruits picked fresh from their garden.

We had a wonderful stay! The view is stunning, the rooms are well equipped and the hosting family is very sweet. You’re close but not too close to the railway tracks and in walking distance (20 mins) to the city. We enjoyed the home cooked breakfast and dinner. Can highly recommend!

Beautiful views and private room with terrace and hammock. We received delicious tea upon arrival and received a lot of useful tips about what to see around. Very helpful and nice hosts. Beautiful place to stay for little money :)

The place is really beautiful because it is surrounded by nature, in the middle of the jungle. Incredible view from the terrace and the lady of the family cooks fantastic meals.

Nothing

The location was amazing. I literally said WOW when we arrived. Especially a great contrast after being in the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay 😆. In the morning you woke up to the birds and jungle songs and the views were superb! So peaceful and rural. To be honest there are countless hotels with fantastic views in Ella but this one was more secluded and natural (away from tourist activities). It’s a 20 min walk into town but for the few dollars a tuk tuk ride fixes that and the owners organize one in a heartbeat! The owners were very warm friendly and extremely helpful without intruding on your privacy. We had young children with us and they were amazing at fixing food for the baby and flexible and understanding about the noise and early waking times. They even invited the kids into their private areas to meet kittens. It meant that we as parents could relax just that little bit more. And on the topic of kids this place is perfect as the outdoor common area is a clean secure and welcoming place for small children to crawl and run around. And the garden is perfect amount of adventure for small inquisitive minds! You will also see so much wildlife while you are there! Cant recommend enough and especially for the money, great value and hospitality!
