The location is amazing, best place to rest and stay away from other people. The hosts are great, really good food.

The hosts and location were great. Keep in mind that it is 30 minutes out of town. When we stayed here we spent 1 day around Ella rock and next to the tracks (we went to the cooking class in the vacinity of accomodation) and one day we went through Ella to Little Adam's pick and to the bridge. Everything is accessible on foot. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. On the last day, they took us to the town so that we didn't have to walk all the way down with our backpacks. It was an amaizing experience.

The room had only one sheet to cover, which proved to be insufficient due to the lower temperatures.

The room was clean and big (and also the toilet). It was far off the city center, so it was extremely peaceful there, with the sound and the beauty of surrounding nature. The breakfast was bread with jam and Sri Lanka coconut sambol. Because we arrived a little bit late (around 7 pm), and the host asked us whether we wanted the host to prepare a dinner in advance or not. The dinner was Sri Lanka curry dishes and the price was reasonable for us (not too expensive as other comments).

The location was too far, and a little bit challenging to get access to. Although we took a tuk-tuk to get there, the small road was not easy to go. The price from the Ella railway station to the hotel was 800 SLR for the 2km distance. The driver will try to ask for 1200 but believe me, 700 - 800 was the reasonable price to go. Hence, it cost us 800 whenever we wanted to go to the city and another 800 to get back. You can still walk but it is challenging though.

The accomodation fulfilled the description and our expectations. We had family room, it's relatively small but still you can fit there your lugagge, bathroom is big enough. Our room had separate terrace. All rooms are in the farmhouse directly looking at surrounding fields and hills. Breakfast and dinner were delicious prepared by the owner's wife. You stay in the middle of green with Srilankan fauna and flora :-) Owner's are willing to explain things and provide useful info.

It's not negative thing, just smth to be aware of. The farm is achievable with tuk tuk only or by walking appx 2km from Ella's center.

This place is soso beautiful I really loved staying here. The view is amazing, it’s so peaceful. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. Ari took my yo see an amazing sunrise at Ella rock. The breakfasts are incredibly and I’m regularly asked if I want tea or coffee throughout the day. I would definitely stay here again. They even cooked me breakfast at 5am in my last morning and took me to the station. It is a difficult road to get to from town so if you don’t like walking I wouldn’t recommend. However for me I loved it and that’s the price you pay for a lovely peaceful location with a stunning view.

To be transparent, on the first night they overbooked my room which was frustrating because I had been in contact with them days before. However, they put me in a more than lovely room nearby and still looked after me so I can’t complain. The water pressure is weak in the showers but manageable.

The farmer and his family are so friendly and helpful with booking transfers for us. The view from the room is stunning and is perfectly outside the hustle and bustle of Ella centre. Breakfasts are home cooked Sri Lankan food, so so tasty

It was our first stop in Sri Lanka and we liked our stay a lot. The place is fantastic with incredible view. Totally peaceful. Good place to start the Ella rock hiking. Little advice ( don’t pay the entry to see the view from the rock, when you are on the top just go behind toilets and the go down to the view point). It’s not close to the city center but if you like to walk it takes 20-30 minutes depending on your shape. The owner is a very good cook. Her hoppers and coconut sambal are awesome 😃

The rooms are great. Nice view, but the view is great everywhere in Ella.

The hosts were nice, but in a fake way. Breakfast and dinner felt forced upon us, and it was unclear whether it was included or not and how much it would be. For our final night we decided to have dinner at the property, and it was delicious, but the atmosphere was strange. Afterwards we paid for everything, and we were heavily overcharged for the room, and the dinner was very expensive (a lot more expensive than any restaurant in Ella city). We were not provided with an invoice and we felt extremely uncomfortable. It was dark and no one else was around and we felt unsafe to voice our concerns. Very different from all other experiences and stays we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far.
