Turtle Beach Talpe

The room and shared balcony with table and two seats and a view overlooking the sea,. Spacious shower room,and a big plus is the small fridge in the room.The Sri Lankan breakfast good. But don’t order the octopus for evening meal,it was like trying to eat rubber,it was inedible which the owner agreed but was still charged for it.

Given room that didn’t fit the description on Booking.com. It said balcony but was given a room below,we were allowed to switch after 3 days (stayed 5days)so much better and private.I would recommend you message them to make sure which room they will give you. Also when booking you secure the room with a credit card but when it comes to paying they only accept cash.And make sure you know the dollar to rupee rate,as the room is priced in dollars but you pay in rupee.The property is in a very noisy location with a very busy road at the back of the property(especially from some mad bus drivers who love blasting their horn for everything and everybody to get out their way) stayed five days because of the description on booking.com but three days would have been enough.

Had a fantastic stay. l! The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and offered stunning ocean views. The food was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. The overall atmosphere was relaxing, perfect for a getaway. A couple of minor improvements could be made to the entrance since first impression is not so good, but overall, a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend!

Absolute good location directly at the beach! Very friendly landlords and a big and clean room. The Landlord makes very tasty Dinner and breakfast at his own small restaurant.

We chose this place because it was near our wedding location, and although it was a little further down, it was absolutely worth it and a short tuk-tuk ride to the main area. Our stay was amazing from start to finish. The ladies working there were fantastic - anything we needed or asked for, they made sure we had. We stayed in a newly renovated room, which were beautiful, and the views were simply stunning. Waking up with the water right on our doorstep was such a lovely experience. The chef was incredible, cooking anything we wanted at any time, and they were beyond accommodating. There were truly no downsides to this stay. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway right by the beach with wonderful staff, I would 100% recommend it. It's a family-run business, and the warmth and care they put into everything really made our stay special. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Amazing location on the beach front! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Perfect few days stay for us on our travels. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Nothing

Beautiful little hotel right on a gorgeous beach. Spotless, recently renovated room with everything needed including kettle, fridge, hairdryer etc. Huge, modern bathroom. The best thing about this place apart from the view was the fabulous family who run it, nothing was too much to ask, always smiling and basically make your holiday better.

Be aware that there is a busy coastal road just behind the hotel which is very noisy. The water wasn’t hot when the weather wasn’t so good and the beds a bit hard.

The family who runs this property is so warm and welcoming! They are fantastic cooks and did everything they could to make sure that we had a great stay. They were so nice to my kids and always looked out for my mom with mobility restrictions. And nothing, nothing, beats the view that greeted us every morning, and the sound of the ocean lulling to sleep every night.

For the price, I really can't think of anything. I stayed at four star hotels all over Sri Lanka, but I'd rather be at Turtle Beach Talpe any day.
