Turtle Beach Talpe

Firstly the family running the hotel is just amazing! They are friendly, accommodating and just lovely! Secondly, The location blew my mind every morning, the blue waters and views was just exceptional! Thirdly, the food that was made to order was simply delicious and the portions are huge, the special mango was also amazing! Dana surf school nearby is also a great day trip and the turtles at turtle beach was so awesome to see!!

We had an amazing three-night stay at Turtle Beach Talpe! The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and the location directly on the beach is unbeatable – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the ocean views. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming getaway.

The property is located in a nice location, right by the beach, which was nice. The room and bathroom was clean. The host Shashika was friendly.

There is no proper parking for a vehicle. We were offered parking in a land near the property, however, once we headed out at night, we were told this had been locked. Although we were offered an alternative location to park, we did not feel safe to take the car back there, and so we travelled in a three wheeler that night. The balcony was a shared balcony with all three available rooms and therefore privacy was limited. The bed could have been placed better to enjoy the view, however even so, we didn't feel comfortable having the doors open due to the privacy limitations, so we were mostly restricted to being indoors. We were quoted in $ on the site, and the conversion in LKR was made at a much higher rate than is currently prevailing, so we did not feel that the stay was value for money.

Turtle beach house is an oasis of beauty and peace! Super warm and available staff, right on the beach, bus stop just over the road and provided meals are delicious. Just regret to haven't discover this place before 🙏💖

The turtle beach apartment was one of the best experience in our trip! The room is in front of the beach with perfect view and nice balcony. But the highlight was the family that runs the hotel, they were all very kind and smiley! We had amazing conversations with Dinali and Sashika!! Also, they served us delicious traditional breakfast and dinner across the beach! Absolutely recommended!!

The hosts provided us with great food at our request. The location was excellent since we looked for a beach getaway for the family. We felt like home and the hosts made it very comfortable for all of us. We wish them all the very best and also would definitely visit them for a next visit during the season. If someone is travelling solo or with family and also look for a real Sri Lankan experience we would recommend the hosts. The location is also not far from the famous Natural Pools of Thalpe and you will be lucky enough to spot some turtles as well.

The owners are super friendly and very responsive. One of the sisters very kindly cooked me an incredible lunch, dinner and breakfast with a variety of local specialties and options. The room was over looking the beach which was really special.
