Congo Tempisque is a comfortable hotel where you feel right at home. The courtyard and grounds make you feel like you are in nature due to the lovely plants. Jose is an incredibly kind proprietor. He adopted us for the evening, taking us to local beaches and towns in the area. I couldn't believe how close the hotel was to lovely beaches! It is every traveler's dream to have a generous and welcoming host like Jose make you feel like you are in your home away from home.

It was unacceptable. The”room” was a small box not much bigger than the bed windows? Air?

This should not be allowed as a rental property. The online add was a total LIE

Jose was a wonderful host, he offered to drive me to a beach called Panama Bay where the ocean is very calm for swimming and to the Tempisque River. There are only 3 small basic rooms I think, and you share a bathroom. There was a nice new wall air conditioner and a fan in my room. Everything's spotlessly clean. This is a reasonable priced place to stay There is a lovely treed and covered central area for simple meal preparation and eating. It has a refrigerator, hot plate, dishes, kettle, coffee and tea provided. A huge overhead fan brings lovely coolness. I was very comfortable here and highly recommend this place that is only a 15 minute drive from the Liberia airport. Jose drove me to the airport for a small charge at 5 am to catch my flight. I would definitely come back to stay here.
