Jungleview Home Stay

Everything! The owner was so helpful and provided advice on what's best to do at the National Park. You are a 25 minute walk away from the entrance of the National Park and 15 minutes walk from the main part of town but you're rewarded with being right next to the National Park and so my days were spent chilling at the Homestay and watching monkeys, birds, and the Giant Malabar Squirrels playing. I honestly could have stayed there longer.

We were so delighted with the place that we extended our stay. The property itself was clean, comfortable and cozy. We were entertained by the squirrels,.monkeys and birds that we saw everyday from the "jungle" beside the homestay. We appreciate the kind caretaker who prepared coffee for us daily.. Best of all we liked Mr. Nazir's friendlly, accommodating and fun demeanor. I was craving for some banana fritters and he went out and bought them himself, still fresh and warm. just wow! the location is around 15mins walk to the bus station, and around 18-20mins walk to the Thekkady checkpost/ Eco tourism center where we bought tickets to the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Tuktuks are readily available, but we prefer to walk (we even walked in the night). We highly recommend this homestay and will definitely stay here if we ever find ourselves in Thekkady again.❤️❤️

Amazing location, just 20 mins walk from the Periyar National Park entrance. Room was very clean. Shower was cold but appreciated with the heat outside. The staff was amazing. Nasir runs the place - he was ever so friendly and helpful! We had two lovely home cooked meals too and were in awe of all the incredible wildlife around us. We also got shown around the "back", taking a walk in the forest/jungle, spotting black monkeys, white monkeys and the giant black squirrel. What a truly beautiful and peaceful (!) place. Very relaxed atmosphere, we wished we could have stayed longer.
