It would have been great to make your own cup tea I don’t think too much to ask for a kettle and mug. Half used items in basket on offer soaps etc. owners toothbrush and toothpaste on bathroom basin. Pictures on site give the impression you can sit on a patio and look at a view - hum no view? And patio occupied by owners and dog. It all felt very restrictive. Parking not easy either. Owners pleasant enough. Bed very uncomfortable had no sleep and dog woke us up barking.

We booked this by accident as we only normally book en suite accommodation but after staying we were so glad to have made the error! we couldn't fault the stay we had, the property is lovely and the owner is really lovely too. The owner is so accommodating it's unreal if you want anything just ask unless you are asking for something totally outrageous I am sure you will get a yes. We enjoyed the beautiful house and garden. The manicured garden has lots of plants and is very well kept, the house is beautifully presented with tasteful decorations and displays throughout. In addition we were given tea coffee in the evening and again with toast in the morning. There is a small dog in the house but he is lovely and not allowed upstairs, we love dogs and he is such a character you can't help but love him too. The house is at the end of the road and there's parking right outside and due to the location we thought it was very secure and safe. There are security cameras that watch the property outside and in the main living areas so you can feel real safe, we did notice a neighbour's camera looked into the seating area at the rear of the house which was weird... The property only has two rooms a double and a single so although it's a shared bathroom it's unlikely to be an issue. We would not hesitate to book this accommodation again and would choose it over others due to the level of hospitality.

Shared bathroom however it worked very well during our stay and it was very clean tidy and functional.

Extremely convenient for access to Russells Hall Hospital (had been booked in for surgery early next day). Appreciated the welcome bottle of water and chocolate snack bar in the room. Room had everything you needed (even spa slippers!), including USB plug-in for mobile phone. Nearby park and wildlife lake wonderful for a stroll, to unwind after long journey.

Maybe the provision of a kettle in the room would be useful, for those of us who always travel with a couple of their favourite herbal teabags! - although Jen did kindly offer use of the kitchen downstairs for this purpose. (Just a minor suggestion ... not really a Dislike at all)

Jen's Friendly Place was perfect for my Mum and me for a couple of days while we were visiting a hospital nearby. The home is clean and comfy, and Jen couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Highly recommend!
