Pantai Paris Homestay

The facilities were really great, the room super spacious and I loved that there was always water, tea and coffee available. Herman was super kind and helped me with many tips about the city and also supported me with some logistical matters.

Our host was wonderful!! She even got up early and made us to go breakfast because we had to leave at 5:30am! So kind.

Thin walls

Very helpful staff. I was travelling alone and one of the hosts took me to the night market and showed me around, helping me to have an experience that I would not have found otherwise. And when I offered to pay for the car ride to and from the market she insisted on splitting and she even tried to insist that she pay 60%. Also went above and beyond to help me arrange a snorkelling trip. The view of the ocean was also very nice.

Unfortunately this turned out to be the worst accommodation experience we have had in 5 months of travel in Asia so far. We arrived very tired and the owner told us that there was a wedding next door where we could join and have dinner. We asked if there was going to be music all night, because it was super heavy base and music so that the walls and windows were shaking. The owners said the music would most likely stop around midnight and convinced us to stay even though we had found another hotel. Unfortunately the music continued until 5 am and we had almost no sleep. This made us both sick after and our trip on Flores has been very heavy after. The owner should let people know if there is a wedding or music being played, at least let their guests leave if they want to sleep. Sorry for the owners, but they should give an option or inform visitors better.

Our hosts, Susi and Herman, were very welcoming. Although it was on a busy road, the homestay felt like a paradise with lush gardens dampening the noise. Help yourself to tea/coffee all day, great fish restaurant next door with good prices. Oceanfront, can watch the sunrise, breakfast included. The Rosella jam is amazing.

Location is close to the Airport. Hosts are friendly.

Place looks run down. Room was large, but very basic.

Very friendly staff, who offered me to join them for breakfast and even woke up early to make me breakfast in time for my flight. Good wifi, sea views

Shower head was broken, 3 of the 5 lights in the room didn’t work. Running water turned off overnight and had to be manually restarted.

Great place to base yourself in. There is a restaurant next door and the airport is very close. Susi, the hostess makes the stay super special. From amazing breakfast and home made hibiscus and morenga tea to tips on what to do in the area. For the beach, she can advise you where to go - 10 mins away by motor taxi. Very good WiFi signal.
