Susy will help you plan your trip with a big smile and with his contagious energy. The place is eco-friendly and the breakfast with omelette and moringa from the garden will boost your day. Very close amazing fish restaurants and small shops.

A bit outside the city center but it can be a plus for someone.

The lovely welcoming atmosphere - staff attentive and informative. Lovely garden setting, spacious room, with good mozzie nets. Comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast.

Big room and nice bathroom

We thought it would be a bit more outside of town away from the buzzing city.

-the owners are more than friendly, I felt so welcome and comfortable there -the room is very big with enough space for luggage -huge and clean bathroom -I booked the room with a fan, but there was an aircon inside. If you wish you can get the remote for 50'000, which is a nice option to have -the breakfast was nice, they serve home made jam

-it's a little bit outside of maumere, but not a problem at all. there are a few local warungs in walking distance and alfamart is about 2-3 min by scooter

nice place, nice couple managing the homestay. they wanna help you with things without forcefully making money (apart of course you pay the room but I mena to help you get a bus or rent a moto) and i appreciated that.

no beach unfortunately. there is a wall in front before the sea

Susi is a wonderful host. Cozy serene bungalow right next to the ocean. Yummy food as well.

This is an absolutely great place to stay for a few days on your journey across Flores - or stay much longer, and use it as a base for your travels. The long time owners have lovingly created a setting that is comfortable and peaceful, with spacious, private rooms that are simple but full of character, a beautiful garden that the lodge is centered on where guests enjoy healthy breakfasts, ample coffee, a generally inviting social environment and the constant attention of the wonderful hosts. The rooms are simple but have loads of character, made of local materials, including ikat and patterned woven rattan siding. Rooms don't have AC but fans; beds have mosquito nets. The place is some distance from town, but there are two very good waterfront restaurants as well as convenience stores next door - and Maumere doesn't exactly have a lot of choice for good places to eat. Considering the quality of the experience, the private quarters and the attention provided to the guests, the place is an incredible choice - probably the best place I stayed on Flores! The place feels more like a home for travelers, rather than the factory setting most places on Flores have now, given the deluge of two-week vacationers on the island.

The lodge is some distance from town, although on the main road, so easy to get to by scooter or car. There is no beach, rather, a waterfront promenade looking out over a breakwater, where you do get great views of the centre of town, though. Due to the thin walls (traditional building materials), you can get noise from your neighbors (if they are noisy) and also party music from nearby. You can get a lot of traffic noise, as it is on the main road.

Susi is a really apreciable women ! She care about his guests but also about environment and culture. The place is cleen and sustainable. She showed us the traditional way they make Ikat with natural coloring. Also explained about the history of Ikat and the area. She also helped us for even related to booking and taking the ferry back to labuan bajo. Really enjoyed the whole energy of this place !
