Mango Tree Homestay

A quiet, comfortable, clean and pleasant home to rest when visiting Hampi

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, large and nice. The staff were pleasent and our tuktuk deiver Mustafa was excelent. He drove us for 3 days and was always really helpful, polite and knowledgeable about the local area, sights and made good recommendations about where to go, eat etc. He really made the trip a success.

A beautiful guest house surrounded by a beautiful garden that Lakshmi runs with a big heart and great efficiency. Rooms were spotless and cozy, as were the common areas at all times. They organised rickshaw drivers and planned itineraries at very reasonably rates and helped my friend when she was unwell.

We didn't enjoy drivers taking us to Mango Tree Restaurant for every meal, despite asking to eat somewhere else for a change (that said, food and service at Mango Tree Restaurant were excellent, easily the best I had during this India trip). Due to the location, you have very little autonomy as a traveller, which might feel odd for Westerners. It truly felt like your Indian aunty was in charge of everything – in the best possible way and we didn't feel being taken advantage of, just be aware of this before you arrive.
