"Mount'n mist"

I had a wonderful stay here. I felt very comfortable. The location of the home was in the mountains, not too far from the centre. I walked to the centre and was able to have some of the most beautiful views along the way. The family of host was very kind and helpful. I felt at home with them :) Absolutely recommend this place.

Owner are very friendly and helpful. Charges are reasonable.

Cleanliness is nice , Comfortable , Nice Family and very friendly . Breakfast was nice .

Location is far from town and no WiFi is available in room .

Visit this place and support the locals. The house is rented by an extremely friendly family who would help you with anything. Staying in the middle of the forest is amazing because of the sounds of the animals. The road is narrow but the owner offers a tuk tuk to and from town. For me, this was the most authentic Sri Lankan stay experience

Lovely little place up the mountains (quite far from everything but if you want to relax and listen to nature, it's perfect). The room is very clean and smells lovely. Comfiest bed I've had in Sri Lanka! Lovely dinner and breakfast and very accommodating hosts. Super nice

It was located in a quiet location away from the noise of the city. The family was lovely. It had a nice deck to sit and relax and view ella rock.

Unfortunately there was a language barrier as the English speaking Son was ill and in the hospital. The rest of the family there spoke like English. I had explained my wheat intolerance to the Son but it wasn't passed on so I got all wheat for breakfast the first day. I'm sure they thought I was crazy as I tried to explain I couldn't eat it. The room needed a good scrub down. Dirty walls and the cup offered in the bathroom had a month or two of dirt in the bottom. Not a good place to put your toothbrush. Difficult to get to even with a tuk tuk. Quite a walk from town.

I loved the view from my room. It was very cold and misty in the morning and felt so nice to have my breakfast in the balcony outside looking at the beautiful view. Breakfast was very simple but very tasty and was part of the package stay. The elderly couple running the Homestay were super friendly and down to earth. The elderly man even helped me to go up and down the mountain by his own 3 wheeler since that is the only vehicle that can take you up the mountain to his Homestay

Nothing at all. Roads leading up to his Homestay is very steep and only 3 wheelers can drive on them however all mountain roads are just this way so be prepared for it to experience the beauty of the Homestay and weather and meet the lovely family

A nice place to stay - first of all incredible views from the terrace :) You can admire wonderful panorama of Ella and the misty mountains from the nice terrace in front of your room. The room itself is pleasant with a comfy double bed and a bathroom with warm water. It's clean and nice. The location is good for the views but you must bear in mind that you'll need a tuk tuk to bring you up there (a very steep hill! ) The hosts are friendly and you can buy a home-cooked dinner and a tour by tuk tuk there.

We had a lovely stay! The place is up in the beautiful mountain surrounded by magic nature and view. The room was big and nicely designed, with big windows and a porch to the mountains! And the hosts, what a wonderful and kind couple! They made us breakfast (different every morning) and dinners were absolutely awesome and even drove us to Ella to buy beer... If we ever visit Sri Lanka again we will come back

Hosts are very warm and caring , made me feel at home with humbleness and delicious authentic food.
