"Mount'n mist"

The overlooking mountains and scenery are feasts to the eyes. The family is very kind and honest. They treat me well and they have a son who stays in Colombo, they are a very nice family and assisting. The breakfast is good and decent. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Good wifi connection. The shower has a good heater. You wake up in the songs of birds and trees. It's just beautiful there. The father who owns a tuktuk, he charged with a very reasonable price. The mom is very sweet and she took good care of me. I have traveled to many cities and stayed in many accommodations and believe me, the family who owns mount'n mist are honest and good people. So to the future guests, please be nice to them.

Nothing. The location is a little far but manageable like 20 minutes walking or 10 minutes by tuktuk but the view is a surprise and very silent so I slept well.

This place was fantastic. 10 out of 10. Would stay again.

A wonderful place, on the top of the mountain, a large estate in the jungle, with a large terrace. Fantastic owners. I will always be happy to return to this place.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I was picked up from the train station and went on a tour of Kandy with them. They even cooked for me in the evening so that I didn't have to go back into town. I can definitely recommend it if you want to stay outside the city in a quiet area.

Stunning view. Variety in breakfast. It’s beautiful to have breakfast on the terrace/balcony in the morning and see the jungle and mountains. The family is super nice and caring.

I didn’t understand in the beginning whether I have or not to have to pay for the pick up from Ella. It would be good to make that clear :-)

Respectful, intuitive and very kind family hosts who create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment – valued as a solo female traveller. The warm welcoming, smiles, laughter and care that was extended during my stay has certainly created a lifelong memory. The hosts Somaratne and wife Premakanti are very kind and humble people. Easy to communicate with - or if specific needs their Son, Chinthaka, is always contactable via whatsapp. Chinthaka contacted prior to arrival and arranged tuktuk pick up at very reasonable price. Genuine people and can be trusted. Provided options for onward travel including bus times, drop off to bus stand for small price, or private transport if required. The property is very peaceful and quiet, with the room and balcony overlooking stunning views of mountains. Warmly decorated and well-maintained property. Spotless linen and towel provided. Large comfortable bed and room, bathroom was clean, towel and soap provided. Delicious homecooked breakfasts! 10min walk to Ella town, there are steps bypassing the turns which shorten the walking time/distance that is displayed on googlemaps. Close to all the wonderful sights and attractions in Ella whilst staying in very serene environment away from hustle of Ella to enjoy sounds of nature and beautiful birds. Many thanks for a wonderful stay, I would certainly return in the future!

We loved absolutely everything Mount n mist is set in the most beautiful surroundings the views are outstanding. The room is large with a wonderful terrace overlooking the beautiful mountains. Hot water great WiFi. It's a beautiful walk downhill to ella Town about 15 mins. The lovely owner picks you up in his tuktuk for a very small fee. Breakfast is homemade and served on your terrace so tasty and delicious. We were greeted with a delicious cup of tea and warm welcome. I cannot express enough how wonderful our stay was. The kindness and hospitality is outstanding. We ate evening meal cooked by the family and it was the best Sri Lankan food we ate. After travelling for the last 4 months this place is top on our list. Highly recommended.
