"Mount'n mist"

The location is near Kithal Ella area. For the price we pay, the facilities are great. Nice family, running the facility + they are friendly.. The room is good with a large balcony. The bath room with hot water is clean. The breakfast is tasty within the price range we pay. Green environment is all around. You can see the mountains and a waterfall too. The owner can arrange a tuk tuk at a rate of 50%, whereas the Ella town tuk tuk drivers don't give proper directions to go to the location plus they mislead you. Thus, contacting the owner (son of the family) prior to going to the location is a must I feel.

I loved this place, the balcony had spectacular views. Great amenities, warm water, super comfy bed. The staff were beautiful!!! So welcoming and helpful, arranging cooking classes and driving me around. Delicious food!! Really delicious breakfast!! Thank you so much!! I had a really lovely, relaxing time there!! Istouti!!

There wasnt anything I didnt like except when I was feeling lazy coming back from town. I loved the location, 20 minute walk into town. However it was a rather decent incline to get back. 1 tuktuk drier wouldn't take the road up, when I was feeling lazy. There were 2 routes, one fairly steep staircase and the other a gentle incline but some added distance. If arranged, I believe the lovely owner would definitely pick you up for a small fee.

The place is located on the hill, so it's calm and quiet in compare to the Ella city center. You'll have a terrace with comfy chairs and amazing view. Although the hosts don't speak english well, we had a good communication. I really like the food, diffrent type of veggies, very diverse. Also it's great place if you want to hike to Ella Rock. We just started to hike from that place. The road to the house is not in a really good condition but if you are heading to Lipton Seat.. it's not really bad 😉 All in all we are happy with our stay. Beautiful balcony overlooking the surrounding areas. Gracious and attentive Sri Lankan host. Very clean bathroom/toilet.

The location is some distance (or height, more accurately) from the city but the walk is filled with scenic beauty and it's worth it.

The location, the standalone cottage, and the view from the balcony. It takes around 30-40 minutes to reach the cottage from the town/railway station but the owner had sent a tuktuk to pick me up from the station so had no issues at all.

the family living there were amazing. When I arrived at the railway station he picked me up in just 2 minutes to bring me to the homestay and then they served me tea and snacks. also he would bring me anywhere with the tuktuk and was always there to make my stay amazing. thank you.

the Wi-Fi was only working after 10pm.
