Such a lovely place! The family that runs it is the most hospitable ever. I absolutely enjoyed staying here. They even arranged a scooter for me, so it was super easy to get around. Massive breakfast! Ill be back next time. Thank you for everything

Stand out for us was the beautiful family they looked after us transport, where to eat, short routes into Ella and 9 arches. They noticed we did not leave our room following bad news from home, they checked in on us and made us the best vegetable soup we’ve ever had. Amazing hospitality ❤️ Amazing views, amazing breakfast, very clean & spacious room, big bathroom plenty hot water.

Can be road noise but it didnt effect sleep, we slept very well

The BEST place we stayed in in all of Sri Lanka. The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive and make you feel like you're right at home. The accommodation is stunning with beautiful views of the mountains, including a breathtaking sunrise. The room is spacious, very clean and comfortable with a huge balcony/terrace. You're only 10 mins walk from Ella and close to all the main attractions- 9 arch bridge, ella rock, adams peak and beautiful monastery. We were served absolutely huge and delicious breakfast which had all you could ask for- and we even got goodies to take away. I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday whilst staying here and the whole family made me feel very special- they arranged cake with candles and couldn't be cuter about making my day truly unique. Do not hesitate and book this place, you won't find anything better. Best best best! Thank you so much, we're so grateful for your hospitality, come visit us in England ❤️

It is a family run business and the family did everything they can to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was extensive and we pack some for our walk to Nine Arches bridge, which was around 30-40 mins from the homestay. Hot water, wifi, hairdryer was available. There’s only fan but it is quite cool during the day and night. Our standard room was cosy.

Room is next to the road so there will be sound of vehicles and train passing by. If you’re a light sleeper might be a problem. There are also lots of insects that came from nowhere but they provided mosquito net so it is okay

We had the most wonderful few days staying at Ella Festoon. Lakshika and her family went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience in Ella, booking excursions to waterfalls on bikes, recommending the best places to visit, and making sure we got everything at the right price. They truly couldn’t do enough for us. Every morning, we enjoyed a huge and delicious breakfast to start the day. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a stunning view overlooking the mountains. We loved being slightly away from the main strip, which can be noisy and touristy, while still being within walking distance of town and the Nine Arches Bridge. In the evenings, we took tuk-tuks to get around.

Everything! The beautiful host family went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time in Ella. It was the highlight of our trip. The beautiful breakfasts were generous and delicious. They helped us organise our itinerary and coordinate transport (even picking us up from dinners to save tuk tuk costs). This family thought of everything and above all else they were the loveliest people.

Very friendly family. Super helpful to arrange tuk tuk or scooter ride to Ella. Also helping to find the shortcut to nine arches bridge. Also try the cooking class which is just 5min walk away!

Nothing in particular. The location is a bit remote and you will need a tuk tuk in the evenings.
