Niduwari Lake Homestay

Especially the host family made our stay very special! They were so nice and fulfilled all our special wishes like babyfood for dinner, breakfast for take away as we left at 6:30 for Pidurangala Rock (which is really nice!) etc. The food they cooked was really really good, one of the best we got during our 5 weeks trip. If you are looking for a stay with great local people that cook nice food and all for a really good price then go for it!

The room and especially the bathroom are a bit smelly which is normal in Sri Lanka for every house not brand new as far as we experienced (the humidity especially during the rainy season is incredible and we as Europeans couldn't imagine how humid it can be)

Very friendly host, helped me organize sightseeing during my stay. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is very big and delicious. I would definetly stay again.

There should be a mosquito net on a bathroom window, because there are lots of mosquitoes around a hotel.

Adit le gérant a été super, les petits déjeuners sont incroyables ! Je recommande l'endroit si vous voulez visiter dambulla, Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Polonnaruwa.

Beautiful place, friendly staff and very helpful.

Only downside was a huge storm that took out the power for a while but it was nighttime so they gave us some candles and we could watch the lightning.
