Smashing Inn

The homestay is located in a beautiful place next to the jungle. You can hear the sounds of nature and just relax in silence. The owners were amazing and very nice. Willingness is their main advantage. We had dinner and it was the best Sri Lankan curry we have ever eaten. The owners also helped us organize a safari and welcomed us with tea/coffee and sweets. Beautiful place.

The problem is with moisture, where it easily gets into all textiles

Lovely hosts, delicious food, so much better than the local restaurants and great breakfast in lovely peaceful surroundings. Also can be taken places as an extra service which is great!

Nothing else....

I was supposed to check in at 11 am, but when I requested the early check-in, they accepted it.  They can arrange a tuk-tuk if you want, and even if you want to have authentic Sri Lankan food, they'd prepare it for a separate cost. If you want a peaceful stay, you can choose this homestay.

Nestled in lush greenery, walking distance or short tuk-tuk to the cave temple and big Buddha. Lovely and friendly hosts who are very helpful. Also make incredible food - the dinner was one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka

Super peaceful location in walking distance from the Rock Temple. The hostess is a passionate cook: the Sri Lankan food was extremely tasty and plentiful. For dinner I was served an amazing 7 vegetable curries : ). The room was large and spotless. I only spent one night but can highly recommend.

It's worth the price. The room was very clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is conveniently close to the Dambulla Temple, offering a calm and peaceful atmosphere without any noise. Highly recommended!
