"Best food ever!"

8.0

Location near the Golden Temple, you can walk easily there. Not far away from Pidurangala, I booked a tour with the host. Best food ever on my whole holidays in Sri Lanka! 20 stars for breakfast and dinner!!!

Very basic bathroom, no hot water

"Great host with great food, but AVOID Spice Garden"

7.0

Great location and kind host. Close to the temples and the huge vegetable market. The husband drove us around and helped us with tickets for the different locations. And the food was great!

AVOID the Spice Gardens at all cost, its a tourist trap. On the way to Sigirya our host suggested going to the Spice Garden. The guided tour is interesting, but turns out that all their products are scam and overly priced. They are not real, just cheap replicas of supermarket products. The inn had a small "pool". Even though the pool had fish and a tortoise, it contained barely any water for the fish to swim in, so it was a sad sight.
