The nice hosts and their charming boy made me feel like home. Very quiet place and close to the temple. The food, Rohini cooked only for, me was amazing.

Basic, clean room with a nice patio to relax. The family is very welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. They were very hospitable! Room has some basic furniture. Bed is ok, mosquito net provided. Good Wifi connection👍🏻 A tuk tuk from and to the Dambulla busstation should cost no more than 400LKR (according to the Pickme app). 10 min walk from the Dambulla Temple Cave. Make sure to take the first street on the left after leaving the guesthouse to go to the ticketoffice (see attached photo). The ticket office is NOT via the Golden Temple/Buddha entrance, you will walk steps up for 30min, have to go down again to the ticketoffice and climb up the stairs again.

It was raining all day the day we stayed. The wooden door of the room was expanding due to the weather and therefore couldn't close properly. But the family made sure our belongings were being taken care of.

If you suffer from asthma then you need to know that, when the weather is wet, the rooms have a strong damp smell. No hot water.

Everything. Wonderful location as very close to the cave temple and not a far walk away from Dambulla centre, and round the corner from shops where you can get anything you need. The family have a beautiful home with lots of greenery and plants that make it very private and peaceful with no sound pollution from nearby roads. The facilities are top notch, they have air conditioning and fans and very spacious rooms boasting private bathrooms. I will also add that the wifi was perfect. They are so accommodating, we felt like we were a part of their family. They helped us learn more about the language, history and culture of not only Dambulla but Sri Lanka as a whole. The food was incredible, and we were introduced to a number of different street foods available across Sri Lanka and when we expressed our money worries they helped accommodate to find cheaper things to do here. This is the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and we are currently 3 weeks into our trip. We felt as though we could trust the hosts and they made us feel really safe. Would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka! It is a must. Already rebooking our stay with them right now!

Very nice place to stay in Dambulla. Very nice family. Breakfast was very tasty. They also prepared us dinner. They are very helpful, also helped us to make Safari trip. Very recomended.

Smashing Inn is best option to stay in Dambulla. It is very close to Rock Cave Golden Temple and is in walking distance. Rooms are super clean and big. Beds are big, soft cushion and clean. Curtains, Towels, Bedsheet are clean and tidy. It has good AC rooms with hot showers. It has spacious and roof covered dining area in big table for 6 people for each rooms. Rohini and Sharath are great caretaker for guest. They prepare best coffee/Tea and breakfast. Rohini makes delicious SriLanka and some international cuisine. Based on remark, she adjust food to our flavors. They have very good foreigner visits and they return with happy faces. Sharath arranges good reasonable TukTuk, cars, and safari jeep. They have good idea of Dambulla major tourist spots and guide us what to cover one after the other. We covered Pink Mountain, Buddha Lake, Dambulla Big Market(trying different fruits), Cave Temple, Sigiriya, Piturangala, Kowdulla /Minerva (Elephant safari) (Jeep was arranged by Sharath in good rate and Jeep rider was patient and dedicated to show us entire Safari) Temple Cave is in proximity for evening peaceful walk

Few rooms have ac facility but they will soon install it.

It was a very nice place with a lovable couple and a cute little baby boy.They are very hospitable and hummble and also entertaining.We arrived late in the evening despite that they welcomed us very friendly.The location was very good (very near to the Cave Temple).The home made food was very delicious, and a huge portion.They also have a Tuk tuk so they can drop you everywhere.We recommend this place.

The hospitality of the owners was superb. The breakfast was mindblowing. We enjoyed staying there. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Dambulla to stay there.

The only thing is that there is no AC. This might be a little cause of concern for a few. They have three rooms.
