The friendly and kind owner highly recommended to anyone to stay in a calm and quiet environment the rooms are clean and well maintained. The dinner was so delicious 😋

The rooms are very comfy and really clean. Bath looks really nice! Ayesha and her familiy is awesome. Such nice people. Loved staying with them. Defintely recommended to go there. Breakfast was also very nice!

There was nothing to complain about.

Chathu is a little way out of the centre of the city but this also means it’s peaceful, but still easy to get everywhere by tuk tuk. The home was beautiful, spacious and spotless - with amazing views from the communal areas including a large balcony for eating beautifully cooked meals. The breakfasts and dinner were freshly prepared, so tasty, and enough to feed a large family. Ayesha made us a packed lunch with what we couldn’t finish! Our bedroom also had its own balcony surrounded by hills and greenery, so waking up surrounded by so much beauty was a pleasure. Ayesha and her family were so attentive to all our needs including how spicy we wanted our food, lending us a sarong for temple visits, and giving us much needed advice on how to get to our next stop. They even drove us into Kandy bus station when we left for Nuwara Elia. (The bus was good value, fast and cool - Thanks) I wish we’d had longer as there was lots to see and do in Kandy itself but we managed the Lake and botanical gardens, and a wander in the city itself. Wonderful 2 day stay - don’t think it can be beaten.

Nothing not to like

Ayesha and her husband were super friendly and prepared a really traditional breakfast which is not included but did not cost a lot! They were always in for a chat. The location is really silent and the view from the terrace was amazing.

Bit outside of Kandy. You definitely need a tuktuk to get around, but the abudulwawa tower is close by and definitly worth to check out!

The room is clean, spacious and the VIEW!! Absolutely amazing property. The room’s entrance is through the guest kitchen which is very convenient when travelling with kids and is super clean. Also, Ayesha was very attentive and the breakfast they made were the best we had through our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.

Location maybe not a walking distance from main attractions / city center but the view, the host and breakfast are simply amazing! Highly recommended!

Nothing! Everything was great!

We had a pleasant 3 night stay here. The host Ayesha and her family are super friendly and helpful. The place is clean, the bed very comfortable. The A/C and shower works well and there is a shared balcony. The surrounding area is quiet and tranquil. It is located a little bit out of Kandy Centre up on a hill (tuk yuk costs about 1,000 LKR) but also super convenient if you are taking the train to Ella as the Peradeniya train station is located close by. It is also close to the magnificent Botanical Gardens. The breakfast was more than what we needed and costs $7 USD per person per day., on the expensive side for Sri Lanka.

The sweetest people who make you feel so welcome. They should start a restaurant :) the food was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views from the balcony and close to the train. It was easy to go with a taxi to Kandy (this takes around 20 minutes) but we were happy that we were in a quiet place. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Our room was next to the kitchen. The owners start preparing breakfast sometimes quite early. It can be a bit noisy but if you wear earplugs it's okay. They also have rooms on the other floor if you're sensitive to sounds.

Anesha, Shanti and Vishnu made us feel very welcome. The room had a hotel vibe with very comfortable beds, a great shower and an amazing terrace. Thank you for showing us Mars 😁. The food was delicious (both dinner and breakfast) and it was nice to talk about life in Sri Lanka.

We only stayed for 1 night but from the moment we entered the door, it was like being at home with family. The house is beautiful and Ayesha and her family were so kind! They fed us an amazing feast for dinner and breakfast the next day, some of the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. The views from the house are incredible, peace and quiet away from the bustle of Kandy, although only a short drive in if you want to go to the lake, temples etc.
