Lovely and peaceful homestay just outside Kandy. Perfect if you want to escape the crowds in Kandy and if you like to catch the train to Ella from Peradeniya station. The hosts are very kind and willing to help. They had cooked marvellous rice and curry for us. One of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The breakfast is also a delicious Sri Lankan treat. We stayed one night, but we would have loved to stay more. Highly recommend to stay a bit longer as the hosts also know a lot of non-touristic places to explore in the surroundings

Awesome Homestay, felt like a family member😀 Incredible Breakfast and Dinner, superb rooms, cleanest spot so far, well situated in nature , away from noisy Kandy! Therefore highly recommended🙏 I would give 11, but I am not allowed to👍👍👍👍

Fantastic place, such warm and kind people. Felt instantly at home. The food was so yummy too. For this place alone, I would come back to Sri Lanka again and again.

"Comfortable house with wonderful hosts and delicious home cooking"

The owners of Chathu are incredibly generous, friendly and kind, and this is what makes the place so special. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and the house has a beautiful view, with a balcony overlooking the valley. Home-cooked dinner and breakfast were delicious - some of the best food I had in Sri Lanka - and they packed up the breakfast leftovers for my train trip.
