11 Monteviot: Luxury homestay overlooking a tea estate

A beautifully maintained property in a superb location, this retreat is truly a gem. Nestled amidst lush tea gardens, it offers sweeping views of the hills and features a vibrant flower garden that adds to its charm. The room was tastefully furnished, complete with a private terrace overlooking breathtaking scenery. Mr. and Mrs. Sharma are gracious hosts, ably supported by a caring caretaker—and not to forget their delightful dog, Bholu, who adds a touch of warmth to the stay. The food was freshly prepared and delicious; the momos and Thukpa are a must-try. Breakfast was especially memorable, with fresh fruits and a variety of flavorful options. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience—one that combines comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty in perfect harmony.

Breakfast was good . Meals are delicious as cooked fresh after confirming the order. It was a pleasure to be with the owner of the property Mr. Parimal Sharma Ji . We really had a nice evening best Darjeeling tea and informative discussions with Parimal Ji on various subjects especially Darjeeling Tea.

The beautiful location. I had a fantastic stay at 11 Monteviot. The location was beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was spacious and well-appointed, offering a comfortable and relaxing space. I highly recommend 11 Monteviot to anyone looking for a personalized experience.

I had the most memorable and restful stay at 11 Monteviot. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The room was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped, offering a scenic view of tea gardens and misty mountains. The bed was cozy, complete with a heated pad and blankets – useful for chilly evenings. One of the highlights was the option to enjoy delicious home-cooked meals made with fresh produce from Tuhina Aunty’s garden. I also can’t forget Ballu, the family dog, who was friendly and welcoming. What truly made my visit unforgettable, though, was the wonderful company. Tuhina Aunty and Parimal Uncle, the owners of 11 Monteviot, were not only warm and inviting but also full of fascinating stories from their life on tea estates. I loved learning about the Indian tea industry over cups of tea and shared dinners. They also offered great recommendations for nearby places to explore and even helped arrange transportation, making my stay feel convenient and also safe. If you’re looking for a cozy getaway, I can’t recommend 11 Monteviot enough. Thank you so much, Tuhina Aunty and Parimal Uncle, for making my visit special. I hope to come back again

A short but wonderful stay. Here, there is love and passion for a property and a way of life. The hosts are adorable and welcome you into their home (gardens, dining room, even their kitchen!). At the same, you have a large and comfortable bedroom with seating area, sink, tea things and a wonderful balcony. The bathroom is equipped with everything you need. If you are on the first floor studio you actually get a 2nd outdoor sitting space, which has fairy lights at night. Great meals and conversations were had in the short time we spent here. Thank you to our hosts for such a welcome!

Lovely and beautifully decorated room with two balconies and view of tea gardens and Himalaya (with clear skies). The hosts were so welcoming and friendly and we had wonderful conversations with them. The homemade food was so delicious.

We would have loved to see the Himalaya from our balcony, but unfortunately the clouds covered them during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Tuhinas place in Kerseong. When we first arrived to the house we were greeted by Tuhina and her husband and gorgeous dog Baloo! They made us feel very welcome, giving recommendations for their favourite restaurant to visit in Kerseong town (which was delicious!) and directing us to get the best views on a walk through the tea gardens. Tuhina’s place is so cosy and cute, with two private balconies you feel instantly relaxed! Thank you so much!
