Cecila, Chris and Felix were very helpful with helping me navigate my travels as I was traveling to the border the next day after arrival. The room had all the basic necessities.

The shower was a little temperamental.

Very easy to get to. The staff were very helpful and even made us some dinner on request. Great parking for our vehicle.

Due to power cuts the showers didn't work wonderfully.

I stayed for quite a long time and will *absolutely* be back here next time I'm in Mbeya. My room was comfortable, big windows so lots of natural light, I had the ensuite and the bathroom was big & clean. Felt very comfortable using the shared spaces and outdoor seating too. The neighbourhood is quiet. Easy, walking access to the hills/mountains you see from the garden. There's also a market maybe 10 mins walking away, though the staff is happy to run an errand for you. Can easily catch a bajaji from the market area to go anywhere in the city for about 800 TSH so I didn't feel the distance from the city centre was an issue to be honest. MOST of all though, Cecilia is a gem!! So lovely, kind and helpful. Bubbly and social but also happy to give you your space/alone time if that's what you prefer. Always happy to accommodate. And her cooking is amazing! Between her presence & her food, I felt at home :)

Cecilia (the host) was really sweet! I was with a friend first and by myself for the last night. Cecilia came along to Kitulo National Park which was really fun. She makes nice breakfast and I joined her for dinner one night. Really homey atmosphere, definitely recommend :)

The shower was cold but she offered a hot shower after we got soaking wet.

I love the beautiful silent ambiance and the mountain view that gives you the taste of beautiful green city of Mbeya. La domek is located around a safe neighbourhood and quiet suitable for solotravellers and business travellers as well family privacy. The best helpers Secilia and Fellie are amazing and warm.
