Its a bit outside of Mbeya, but the host will help you allways If you need transport! Its a quiet place, clan and comfy with very nice people. Highly recommended!

"Pleasant"

The house is in a quiet area outside the main town surrounded by mountains. Felt very peaceful. The rooms were clean and very spacious ! There was hot water and a western toilet ! There is a small kitchen with 2 plate stove and microwave if you need to cook something. This place was all we needed to rest for three days in between places.

Unfortunately we felt that the staff wasn't the most helpful, especially when asking about things to do in the area or how we can get certain items. She did eventually phone a friend to find some things out but we thought she could be abit more willing to help. The breakfast that is included was VERY BASIC - an egg with chipati ...and we asked for some fruit the following day and she gave us 1 banana cut into 3 pieces and half an orange each. P

I really enjoy the accomodation, all the kind help Chris orovided with transport from the airport to his hostel, Cecilia also was extremely kind with me, I really do reccomend it as accomodation in Mbeya.

"Superb"

Cecilia was very helpful with organizing taxi and helping with everything that can arise. She provided breakfast very early in the morning as I had to leave for the airport. Power went off in the evening and it wasn't possible to get a shower, but that was out of their controls

It is kind of remote. Google Maps lists the airport Mbeya MBI wrong. It is the old airport that is shown. The new one is the Songwe Airport and this one is about 45-60 minutes away from La-Domek. It's not their fault but it makes commuting to and from the airport more difficult. Taxi is 30'000-40'000 Shilling one way from the airport
