MENAKA HOMESTAY

I really felt at home here! The hosts went out of their way to care for me, welcoming me with a fresh smoothie and continuing to shower me with fresh fruit and snacks during my stay. Delicious food clearly made with love. The accommodations are clean and comfortable- AC room with fan, en-suite bathroom, mini fridge, etc. the highlight of my stay however was definitely the exceptional service and treatment from the hosts. Highly recommend booking here for a homey stay a stone’s throw from the beautiful Tangalle beach!

It was out of the host’s control, but due to low water reserves in the town, the water pressure was very low during my last day, not enough to shower and barely enough to flush/wash hands. But again, not the fault of the property.

The room was clean and had airconditioning. The lesure space outside was perfect for spending the evenings.

Dinner was mixed - the prawns and calamari were good, all else however was underwhelming and not woth the 14 €.

Food was incredible Hosts are very friendly and attentive - made sure I was very comfortable throughout my stay Helped me plan activities and gave me lots of juices and a coconut on arrival!

Manu and Shashi are very friendly and nice. We had really good time there, we also hanged out together during the day. Breakfast is delicious, we also ate fish dinner there that you really shouldn’t skip! We felt like a part of the family and we really recommend this place.

The super friendly host makes you feel at home in a second. The room is clean and cosy. The breakfast is fresh and tasty, and certainly enough but rather sober compared to some other home stays we visited. The diner on the other hand was way to much, very nice and tasty, with fish and shrimps caught by the host only a few hours prior. The location was great. Overall a very nice experience.

Great value. Excellent location which is central yet quiet. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast and dinner both delicious with local fresh fish. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We loved our time here! My brother and I stayed here for two nights. All of the food was amazing, we chose to eat dinner there as well. The hosts catch the fish themselves. Very clean and comfortable, and good wifi. The best thing was the host family. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. They were able to help us arrange transportation to Udawala. We highly recommend staying here for an authentic and peaceful experience.

Exceptionally friendly hosts and great value for money. Location very quiet and close to the beach. Nice breakfast and fabulous dinner!!
