The owners, room and house very nice. very pleasant stay. However my vocation is a hotel designer with many international hotel room designs over 40 years experience thus I cannot but suggest some improvements to make their guest stay more pleasant. I do not intend to offend the owners but hopefully they will take a bit of advice to advance the enjoyment of other guests.

No tea making facilities or small fridge. Proposal was to make tea in the owners down stairs kitchen and the fridge for milk was in the downstairs garage which was also the owners beer fridge. it was full. Very inconvenient to keep walking up and down stairs just for a cup of tea. The tea/fridge facilities best to be located on landing or, with the removal of an in room unnecessary bookcase, could be located in the room beside the wardrobe. Nowhere to put stuff in the room, everything has to be on floor, remove the in room bookcase and provide more shelf space (similar to their hall table) this can double as tea making with fridge under (although tea best on landing outside the room). Owners clothing, and other stuff , was in the wardrobe, this a big No No, their stuff took up vital wardrobe and shelving space leaving very little room. The bedding, towels ect should be stored in the wardrobe not piled on the floor taking up room space.

The cleanliness of the bedrooms and bathroom.

The bathroom setup is not ideal in terms of the water splashing onto floor creating a slip hazard. The shower head was not flexible so was not the best to be used for someone who is short.

Lovely home and facilities and close to all shops and quiet street.
