Close to main highway and MeDermott’s hotel has an extensive menu. Damian was at the door to meet us and met every need. Lovely rural view from kitchen. Neolithic cairns close by

Mattresses were soft and could do with an upgrade.

Friendly. Offered us a lift into sligo but we made other plans to get in about while visiting relatives

No kettle in room No tv in room. Double room- had to use main bathroom- host said hot water available for shower in morning only as it was on a pump etc so shared other onsuite shower as other family members in that room. Room altho clean extremely basic Break fast was pre made and kept warm in the oven No cereals/ juice Very small potion with no option on egg type given scrambled on 1st morning we then asked for fried following day which was accommodated but pre cooked and left in oven .. Personally eggs should be made to order . We felt awkward whilst eating breakfast as host sat at table with us so we couldn't have a personal chat .never known this in any places we have stayed Was offered use of kitchen for a drink and lounge but as it was the hosts personal space we declined Unsure if host has health issues as a loud barking type throat clearing noise with was heard through out the house and this put me off attending my breakfast. These issues have been read by us yesterday on other reviews. And this is an honest account of our stay . Sadly we won't be stopping again at this property in the future. This is basically a family home with two rooms let out and host using a 3rd room

The house was clean and the breakfast adequate ( just )

felt uncomfortable from arrival and over the two nights. Actually stayed out late the second night rather than go back.

The host accommodated my need for a gluten free breakfast - which is very appreciated.

Lack of the tv in the bedroom. House very quiet to the point it make us uncomfortable. Tv available to watch in the living room which is OK but we more wanted to have the time only for ourselfs. There was nk other noise in the house bar us and the host. All other noise was very noticeable. Lack of information regarding Internet. Had no connection to it throughout the stay and felt bit uncomfortable to ask about it. Not an Irish breakfast and vegititerian option very limited.
