"ideal as a"touch down base" when travelling around the area by car"

We stayed for two nights and chose sleepy castlebaldwin, as it is ideally situated for tours in and around the sligo area by car. Damian is a fairly quiet host but always concerned for his guest's wellbeing. And when when you are treated to some home made Guinness Bread, you know you chose well.

"Passable"

Basic. One pillow on bed. Scratchy linen, old. In someone's house. Bathroom not attached to bedroom. Other people staying there. Breakfast with host, bit uncomfortable. No hot water. Thin walls so hard to relax. Not close to anything. Need a car.

Very nice and accommodating host, makes a great breakfast. I definitely recommend staying here, the location is easily reached by car and close to a pretty lake. Within driving distance of Donegal and Sligo.

"You get what you pay for. An inexpensive room but it was quite uncomfortable."

Damien was pleasant, but the room was extremely small and clearly situated as part of his home, which felt awkward. It was clean, but uncomfortable (hard bed, two inch thick pillow, thin towels, and a sink so small I had trouble washing my face). We had booked for two nights but only stayed one opting to eat the cost of the second night for a more comfortable stay in Sligo.

Too small. Hard bed and pillow.

"Amazing accommodation"

This accommodation was amazing and by far exceeded my expectations. The location was very calm, the host was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and had everything you needed - a comfortable bed, a nice clean bathroom, and enough space for two people. On top of all that, the host prepared a very tasty breakfast for me and we had a pleasant chat. I highly recommend it!

The Wi-fi signal could have been stronger, but it was not a big issue.

The stay was very nice the house was so clean and very welcoming Damien was a ture gentleman and wonderful host .The breakfast was excellent and the location was idyllic

Leaving to go home had a wonderful week stay .
