Green Tea View

The accommodation is excellent, clean and the peaceful location is amazing. The view from the balcony is stunning. The hikes they offer are fantastic, although most of them are closer to Munnar. However, you can also take smaller walks directly from the homestay. We also stayed in Munnar itself but would definitly recommend staying outside the city. Breakfast is delicious. For lunch and dinner, we walked to the nearby town (20 minutes) or took a tuk-tuk. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay longer as it was fully booked. Thomas is a wonderful host.

This place is a gem. Beautiful location with some rooms looking out onto trees and a small tea plantation. There is a communal terrace, the bedrooms are spacious and the whole property is beautifully clean. Owner Thomas and family are so helpful and friendly. I loved staying here, would highly recommend.

We had a perfect stay here at Green Tea View. They helped us with lots of information, offered us tea and were really warm and friendly to speak to. They offer breakfast and dinner, so we enjoyed an amazing breakfast with them and they catered to our vegan diet. The room with a view was so beautiful, the sound of the birds and sitting out on the balcony really made our experience. We drove a car from Kochi, but we originally planned on renting a scooter to get around. Transport or tuktuk's are needed to see the sights! There are restaurants within walking distance though. They also have activities like trekking and suggestions of how to plan your day. We wished we spent an extra night to enjoy the views and nature more! 1000% recommend!!

Tomas and Rohn were the most helpful hosts we could ask for. Booking activities was so easy - we did a tuktuk tour and a half day trek which we would recommend. We were upgraded for free to a room with a balcony which wasn’t being used when we got there. Rooms were perfectly nice and the bed was very comfortable. The view was so beautiful and it was very peaceful. The hospitality really made our stay however, and we would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay with Thomas and Lizy. The rooms were bright and comfortable, off a terrace, with beautiful views of the mountain and their neighbours' tea plantation. The breakfasts were homemade and delicious. Thomas was very helpful and arranged tuk tuks for us to go to the local town for supper and a driver to take us sightseeing.

We had a wonderful four day stay in the homestay. Its 5 minutes by tuktuk from Anachal and close to a bunch of hiking starting points. The hosts and staff are super lovely and helpful - they had great recommendations for activities close by and helped organise transportation and guides. They also offer tea, as well as delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner. (On the days where the hosts aren’t available to cook you can head to some of the close by restaurants and kiosks.) The room and its view were lovely, matched our expectations, and everything was really clean. They also offer a laundry service for an appropriate fee. If we come back to this region we would definitely stay at the Green Tea View again!

Amazing view and really friendly staff. I had an amazing time here. If you travel from Kochi by bus it's best to take the bus to Munnar and get out at Adimal. Than take the bus to Anachal and a tuc tuc can take you to the homestay in 5 minutes.
