"Perfect place to explore Piaynemo and region"

9.0

The place is lovely and simple, but it offers everything you need for a short stay. We read a lot about the toilets/shower rooms, but it was all ok and within our expectations. The view from the bungalows are unbeatable and it’s even better under the water. Food service is simple, but very tasty and in good quantity. Nick speaks very good English and was very helpful when we needed him, however he’s not always around. We would definitely go back!

Our bungalow saw some leaks during a heavy rain, but you just got to remind yourself that this is a simple accommodation in a far away place. Manage your expectations or go somewhere else.

Great location, close to some good dive spots. And a beautiful small islet. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

Great deal of plastic rubbish in the water here. Much more than we experienced elsewhere in Raja Ampat. This is no fault of the Homestay's as it arrives on the current from afar, but accumulates in the narrow straight separating these two small islands. Also, the hygiene is questionable as the sewage flows into the island's lagoon right behind the Homestay. The roof on our kid's cabins leaked overnight, resulting in a very wet bed.

The location was great, the food very good and the staff nice. They helped out with organizing trips if you wanted to do something. Nice bungalow with terrace just above the water, great snorkel from your own bungalow. Lovely views and nice community area.

Only one toilet and shower for all bungalows. Didn’t change the bin with the used toilet paper so after a couple of days the smell got quite bad. Water got turned off (sink for the bucket shower was full, but included dead insects and old water).

The location is fantastic; you have the Island to yourself. Sulai, the host, is great; he played a big part in making our experience enjoyable. The excursions are affordable and awesome. Plus, they have a covered boat, which is a big plus in Raja Ampat.

The food has a strange taste and smell. We think it might be because of where their Kitchen is next to the Mangrove swamp. Also, you can tell the facilities are getting old and need an update. They would invest just a bit in updating the toilets, expanding them, and updating the rooms. (for example, the mosquito nets have holes; some were fixed with ducktape and I sewed mine, so new Mosquito nets would be nice)

I loved everything about our stay at Meos Ambower. To stay above the water and see the fishes, stingrays, black tip sharks passing under the bungalow; waking up at night to see so so many stars and falling stars in the sky and planktons shining in the ocean… with just the noise of crickets and soft waves as they got to the shore. Beautiful sunset views. And the food was so good! I’m a vegetarian and they made me eggs every lunch and dinner and there was always rice and delicious vegetables. Banana fritters at 16pm were so good. House reef is nice. Nick wasn’t there but Solai who welcomed us and helped us during our stay (he is the only one there that speaks english) is very kind and thoughtful. Wifi worked almost all day long. For me it was a transcendental experience.

My mom was with me and she really suffered with the lack of a fan during the night. For me it didn’t matter so much as I woke up and slept at the balcony where it didn’t feel so hot. I guess how much you like the experience is very much related to how much you’re prepared to be in Raja Ampat, cause let’s just say it’s not exactly a “comfortable” experience - most homestays have little electricity for a few hours after sunset and bucket showers and stuff like that. Oh and I really think 1 bathroom is not enough for 8 bungalows. I think Nick really needs to build at least one more. But for me nothing that would keep me from coming back.

"So far is the best hotel we had in Raja empat"

9.0

We like the coral reef in front of our bungalow and below the restaurant. We can see with crystal clear water the baby shark swimming around trumpets fish and clams shell Nemo colorful coral many more.

Sometimes no water and power but it’s fine. We are in paradise no need something like this always.
