Minh Quang homestay

Beautiful views, friendly host family and comfortable set up. Having access to free hot water, tea, coffee and drinking water was great.

Not much variety for breakfast and dinner, but they certainly gave us enough food!

Mattress

The hosts are very nice and go out of their way to help. The room, while simple, is nice and clean. The air conditioning worked good and saved me in the cold.

Its very difficult to get around and make plans. You can rent a debilitated bicycle from the homestay to get around, but it barely moves up the muddy road and you kinda just walk it any uphill. Sightseeing is far, best option is to rent a boat tour (the full day one the homestay offers is great) but unless you rent a tour guide or something, you will struggle. Food is a bit different than usual, while it was delicious they only served dinner. One morning i asked for breakfast and they serve pancakes, but i was hungry daytime for the rest of the days.

Exceptional customer service. They picked us up from the bridge since our private van couldn't get through. We called ahead for dinner and when we arrived, it was all fresh and hot for us. The view was amazing. Love how they have their own boat ride available. The bed mattress were very firm - some is us liked it, some didn't- bit that is just individual preference.

A night light would've been great to avoid needing to climb out of bed in the cold, but that's just an idea.
