Mansarover Home Stay

Food was fantastic and there was a clear emphasis on good hospitality through all facets of our stay. The owner's family was exceptional kind and welcoming to all guests.

Minimal improvements to the cleaniless to the of the room such as including bug spray and taking care to removing any insects. Additionally, it would be greately appreciated if there could be a more accessible route into the property, especially with suitcases.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Mansarovar homestay in kalimpong! The hospitality is top-notch, the property is beautifully maintained, and the food feels like a warm home-cooked meal. Great location and the host family was incredibly warm and made us feel right at home. The room was spotless, cozy, and offered breathtaking views of the mountains. Beautiful and comfortable room, nice surrounds, great hosts, great food

hosts were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Accommodation was excellent and views inspiring despite the haze.

The Host and his family were very welcoming. They treated me as thier own family member. Each and everyone in the family are friendly and hospitable. The view from the rooms are also interesting. The food is prepared by them and it’s delicious too. I would highly recommend to stay in this Homestay rather than staying in hotels.

My room was a bit stuffy due to less ventilation and because the weather was warm it was overall hot.

Staying at Mansarover home stay was a delightful experience.. we had a wonderful time.. Mr. Gurung and his family made us feel completely at home.. We had all our meals at the homestay and the food was mouthwatering.. everything was homemade, delicious and tailor made to our liking! My kids were over the moon when they saw waffles served for breakfast! The home stay was neat and clean. They have a lovely balcony with a great view of the mountains.. Mr. Gurung drove us around the area and took us to Siliguri for our return journey the next day. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Kalimpong and he acquainted us with all the prominent landmarks and heritage buildings in and around the charming town. We look forward to visiting Mansarover homestay again!

Everything was great about the homestay.. we would have enjoyed it even more if we got better weather.. It rained almost throughout our stay at Kalimpong!

This homestay truly has a soul! Everything was perfectly clean and aesthetically warm, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. But the most special part was the wonderful family who took care of us with so much love and sincerity—even after we left, they stayed in touch and helped with our travel arrangements. The home-cooked food was simply amazing, and every meal felt like it was made with love. The location is perfect with beautiful views all around. We’re deeply grateful for their kindness and can’t wait to visit again!

I had a wonderful experience at Mansarovar Homestay! From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure every need was taken care of. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, offering a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Cleanliness was clearly a top priority, and it truly enhanced the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious home-cooked food. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and felt like a taste of home. The variety and quality of the dishes truly stood out.

Our Home Stay and our last week in India was truly a rewarding experience. Santa Gurung and his lovely family made us feel so completely at home. Our lovely room was very private and we were able to have our breakfast on a sheltered balcony overlooking the valley and the Himalayas beyond, and their family’s flower gardens, fruit trees and vegetables, which often were part of breakfast. It is one thing to tour a new country, but it is so much more meaningful when you have the experience of getting to know your hosts. We left India, having seen so many beautiful temples and other special sites, but the feeling and the knowing that we had made friends, people we hope to see again, is the most precious of all. Thank you Gurungs for sharing a bit of your life with us. We will always remember you folks with love.
