Tre Xanh Homestay

The host was very welcoming, and the bed was very comfortable.

The location was terrible. There were 1000's of bugs in my room. There were a lot of air horns and vibrations from the trucks going past the homestay 24/7. The power went out, and it was difficult to sleep with no fan or air-conditioning (no discount for lack of facilities). Loudspeakers at 5.30 am.

The host was very friendly, gentle and hospitable. The room is spacious and clean with full hot water and air conditioning. Besides, there is a cool, fresh garden in front of the room, you can sit there for tea and chatting, so cool. Actually, this is the second time we've returned to Ninh Binh and always choose Tre Xanh homestay as our first choice. To be honest, what kept us with this place was the kindness of the host couple and the resonable price of services, which was so cheap compared to the amenities we received. After the trip, we were always willing to give the host a small gift as a thankfulness 🥰

The location of Tre Xanh Homestay is convenient (easy to reach famous sites) and beautiful (located on the street that has amazing side views of crop fields and mountains). The host family is really nice, friendly and supportive, and the garden view outside the rooms is really green and peaceful!

Nothing to complain. At first I was a bit concerned that the blanket is thin but it turned out to be suitable, because the weather in Ninh Binh at the time I travelled was either cool or warm, I didn’t really need a thick blanket. Yet you can still ask for another blanket if you need to, the host is willing to give an extra. They also supported me with other things and I felt very comfortable staying there!

They give one thin sheet for 2 people and my wife asked for a second blanket because she gets cold easily, when she asked the owner rudely said NO 2 people only 1 sheet and if you get cold turn of the AC and too bad is you don't like it that's how everyone does so don't ask again. I don't know why it was such an issue as. I had to pay 50k extra for a tiny bit of fuel used in the motorbike i rented and used for less than 2 hours. I wouldn't stay there again.

The room is very big, toilets are clean with toiletries, AC and fans. The balcony in front of the room with a garden view. There is a hammock to sleep on enjoying the garden view. The host helped us with bike and taxi arrangements.

The location of the hotel is on the highways, that's the only con.

The family were so lovely she helpful. It was very very clean and quiet so could sleep well.

Nothing, you can easily get a motorbike or bicycle so it doesn’t matter that it is a bit out of town.

The owners of the homestay were very kind and welcoming, despite there being a language barrier. Communication was through Google translate but all my concerns and questions were met perfectly.

We stopped over for a rest day while cycling and it was perfect for this. Home cooked meals, friendly host, comfy bed, good shower. We had a delicious passion fruit welcome drink and a pot of Oolong tea the next day. Really kind and lovely people who run it.

Road traffic was quite loud, but guess you'd hear this from anywhere near Nimh Binh.

Lovely hosts, who helped with everything from bike hire to taxis and buses. Great homemade food with generous portions. Big clean room with good AC and a nice garden with a hammock. Amazing value. Very sweet friendly dog! Couldn’t recommend more.

Nothing really, not walking distance to the Trang An but easily cycling distance. Can sometimes hear the nearby road but kind of hidden by the garden. All good!
