Host family are lovely! Fendy is so passionate about animals and conservation. The turtle tour is INCREDIBLE. Fendy also arranged our Ijen trek for us. Perfect Homestay.

The room is good value for money, the family is incredibly sweet, breakfast was delicious. And most of all, you get to stay with the best and most passionate guide of the Banyuwangi region who will take you on incredible journeys through nature. We absolutely loved it.

Good location!!

I know you cannot expect a big thing for a very cheap price but believe, there is no way you can sleep in that room!! The humidity was 100%, with a huge smell and no windows at all!! We had to leave and go somewhere else even though we paid for 2 nights cause we couldn't sleep that way!

If you're looking for the perfect place to start your adventure in Banyuwangi, then you can stop looking because you've found it! While staying at Fendy's home, he can take you to all the spots you wish to explore, like the Ijen crater to see the unique blue fire (Fendy has his own gasmasks.) and Sukamade (Turtle Beach). On turtle beach you'll be able to not only see how they take care of the baby turtles, but you'll also be able to release those who are ready to start their life. I cannot stress enough how magical this is. We even saw a turtle laying eggs! You'll be travelling through a monkey-filled jungle on the roof of Fendy's jeep (if you want) and sleep a night at the turtle hatchery. It is rather expensive, but like Fendy promised: It is so worth it. You will most likely not find this in any other place. During the ride from and to his home, we stopped at several places like plantations and the most beautiful, hidden sandy beach we've ever seen. We got to swim there for a few hours, next to a small waterfall for a natural aftershower, in total privacy. Yes, like in the movies! Banyuwangi is called the sunrise of Java, and has many sights and activities. Fendy can give you all the information and maybe even transportation to certain spots or pick up / drop off from the trainstation. (He was so kind to also bring us to the busstation and arrange our tickets to Bali.) We hope you enjoy your stay just like we did!

the owner is amazing person! he will help you with everything you need. we had already booked trip to bromo but he is willing to organise it to you if you want to. also he helped us getting bus to bali! terima kasih! best breakfast i had in indinesia!

Fendy is an amazing person! he picked up us so late at night when there was no taxis… he also organise the tour to Ijen for us with a local guide ♥️. we had breakfast and shower after Ijen and he drop off on the bus and wait for us! amazing host, he really took care of us 🙂 I will definitely come back for the turtle experience.
