Peak House

We stayed 2 nights at peak house and the sweet family took good care of us. We did our laundry there for a good price too. The place is a bit out of the hiriketya town and half way to the blue beach, which we liked most. We had our own tuktuk so it was easy to move around. we were in the newer building which was very clean and comfortable, but sadly it is not next to the garden so we couldn't enjoy the garden while our child was sleeping.

The bed was very comfortable and the place has nice aesthetic. Aircon was very needed in the room and works well, bed also has a mosquito net which we came to appreciate. Overall room itself was spacious and nice.

The common spaces look nice in the photos but are massively overrun by mosquitos and there is nothing to help. No fans, nothing. Even covered in repellant we were often swarmed and couldn’t sit out there for long day or night. Host wasn’t the most friendly. When reading outside for a bit, host started vacuuming his car right in front for an hour which killed the atmosphere. Few other small things like this detracted from overall enjoyment.

Really nice, the family is absolutely lovely! Really nice break in the trip, it was a little hard to get a tuk tuk to and the pick me didn’t work in the area so it can be a bit of a walk tot things but it was very nice

Perfect place to stay if you wanna sleep quietly and still be close to Herikiteya Beach. Amazingly friendly souls that take care of any of your needs. The relaxed vibe made us stay 8 nights in total. We felt at home, away from home. Hopefully, we meet again one day. Cheers Tommy & Marthe

On arrival we felt really welcome and looked after. Our room wasn’t ready as we were early but they let us relax and get changed after our travels. Simple rooms, but that’s all we wanted. Hot shower, everything was really clean and lovely bit outside to relax. Short walk into the Bay area and monkeys on the way!
